I wish PGI would not allow players to change their votes during pre-match voting. This mini-game is stupid and it's stupid for people to intentionally try to stack their multiplier. Just vote for the map/mode that you actually want and let things play out without gaming the system.

It's all rather silly.

That is, voting for a few maps/modes you don't want just to have a better chance of getting one you do want later on...is pretty much tantamount to just having random maps/modes. Only random map/mode selection would be faster.

I was surprised that it wasn't a blind vote from the beginning. Players really do not need to see how others are voting. Vote for what you want and see how the cards land.

It's not a big deal and it's not dramatically affecting gameplay. Before voting was a thing I got Caustic Valley 4 times in a row. You'll never have it perfect and exactly the way you want it. Seriously people, just deal with it.

The voting part is ok, but we shouldn't see the vote % results until the voting is over.

Have to agree, the nonsense at the voting screen is stupid.I wish they would revert it back to completely random maps and for fooks sake let me opt out of conquest.

Whole thing needs to be 'random' with no one map/mode coming up anymore often than any other map/ mode.

I think the mini-game is the whole reason for seeing more variety in the maps and game modes. People try to game their votes but as several change at the last minute second it unintentionally swings the vote to different options. And sabotages their attempt to raise their vote weighting. Win-Win.

Sorry, but "vote for what you want" doesn't work. We had that, and those who wanted map variety, or *gasp* to play conquest, were out of luck. Because anything that takes more thought than "murderbalL" is too hard for most people.

The only real viable alternative is truly random... which will generate the exact same complaints by people who "want to play on skirmish/assault/conquest".

At least with the vote multipliers, we have an illusion of control, and I can usually get exactly what I want, every 3-4 matches. while still having short MM waits.

It's the MM MWO deserves, AND the one it needs right now.

Now this is true, minimize gaming it. I still feel the multiplier works because it allows you some control of getting what you want, instead of being force fed Frozen City Skirmish 80% off matches. And it has meant no 10 minute waits (at least for me it hasn't, longest I have waited was under 2 minutes)

My favorite part of the minigame is "voting" with my huge multipliers to force people to actually commit to the map/mode they want, then "unvoting" at the very end to preserve the multiplier so that I can do it again next game.

:)

Make it blind, if you "lose", up the multiplier.
We do not need to see whose voting for what.

Don't care one way or the other.

The map voting screen is more entertaining than watching a loading screen the entire time.

If you really hate the vote system, don't vote. Then you have exactly the same system you had before. You click launch and wait to randomly hit a map.

Better yet, just get rid of it and make selection random.

I like to hold a rapidly clicking mouse macro and gleefully swing it across the maps and watch the numbers go beserk.

Simple pleasures I guess.

that or I vote for Terra Therma and watch everyone try to change it. :D

Minigame is fine as it is.

Just keep clicking all the maps until the last second then click what you want. :P

Just like elections, when the 1% are the ones actually in control. ;)

Keep the vote, make it blind.

That way people feel like they still have influence, but there would be no way to exploit the stacking mechanism since you can't simply vote for the underdog.
