Or an echo chamber of voting apologists.
Not at all.
You are quite free to skip the thread, you know.

Nice work on the voting system overall, and I appreciate the extra 5 seconds added to the countdown, as well as the audio cues: sometimes I'm alt-tabbed, or otherwise spacing out.
Good job, PGI and I look forward to trying out the patch tomorrow.

Try not playing durring the US peak time. There are times before this voting where waiting for a match on say the oceanic server would take longer than 10 minutes. The fact that I haven't seen a game take longer than 1 minute in the match making time no matter if it's 6 am, 6 pm, midnight, midday, etc- even with the release of FO4 which took a lot of peoples time away to play MW: O I still get into quick matches.
If a change barely helps you, there is no reason to complain, it's still an improvement right? But getting your panties in a twist becuase they 'wasted' time on a 'minor' fix that resulted in other people (such as myself) getting a massive boost getting between 10% to 1000% less time waiting. These people and I are quite thankful for the change.
You know what else this does? it allows PGI to make more than 3 map modes, before thanks to filters they really cringed at the idea of more modes without replacing the current ones (Assault was first option to go if replacement was needed). However now with the map voting, It gives a similar effect as the filters as well as allow the game to have 4, 5, 10, or 20 game modes active for quick play. (not saying they will do 20, but just stating there is no more problems with it... welll, in terms of filters or 'buckets'. I think it can get a bit redundant after that). So that Attack and Defend game mode some of us is waiting for over a year (not the CW thing, the one with the Union dropship that's landed) or having a "king of the hill" game mode or what ever could be possible now.
You have the right to have a negative opinion on a poor update that has caused issues, you have the right to offer constructive criticism as well as methods of helping to mend or fix the problem, you have the right to say that something bad has happened when it has. But there is absolutely no reason to be so sarcastic over something that isn't even a big problem, or a small problem. but a small benefit for you, and a bigger one for others.

No.
Seriously, no, they don't.
Any other questions I can answer for you?
They do, they just don't often talk. Quite a few changes that has occurred in the past year has been possitive due to the fact that they listened to the forum but the problem with listening to a fanbase is that it is very bipolar AS you can see here.
Some people are happy PGI is trying to have a vote system again, other people hates it and claims no one asked for it. Some people got very large benefits from it while others are crying nothing happened. etc... or on the other topic, on how UP... or OP... or balanced. the Direwolf is. and how it is unacceptable, or what ever mech should aspire to be, or how it should never be seen in public cue, in it's current state. How do they choose which side to go with? either way one side is uphappy and the other is happy. Nerf the Clans? 1 group is happy, the other is on protest. Buff the clans? same result but vice versa. At times it may appear they are ignoring the community because the communities stance on it isn't viable to go off. All they can do is sample things from both (or more) sides of the argument and to do things with those in consideration. Perhaps it is you that do not listen to the forum enough to not know that people actually asked for some changes you disagree with (such as voting for eg) to come around.

If they are flipping burgers, I hope that Razer thing in 2012 helps PGI make some battlemech cockpits with a simular game to MW: O in it which is connected to surrounding pods for people to have battles against each other in these mech warrior cockpits as well as the rest of the restaurant being battletech theme with a hint of the 1980's with some of the original TRO art pestered or framed on the walls and serving an assortment of foods- such as hamburgers but possible steak as well and LOTS Of beer in Urbanmech stiens and other battletech novelties as well as a mini gift shop where you can buy some TT sets, Miniatures, journals from BT, and MW:O esque cockpit items for the desktop/ car / etc. Would be the best restaurant in the world for me and will be the only reason I will move to Northern america to experience the battletech themed restaurant in Canada.... wonder if it'll be Solaris themed? OH! it could be the Valhaulla club! where those mechwarriors in those pods are actually also watched by spectators as a game while Duncan fisher voices the lines and stuff in these 'live' action Battletech arena matches which is displayed on TV's around the Restaurant much like how some Restaurants show the local Rugby or Football on their TV's. Meanwhile having each section of the restaurant themed on the 5 houses- FRR, Stiener, Davion, Kurita, Marik, Liao.
Damn it Russ. Why didn't you be the Manager of the first battletech themed resteraunt that also accommodates those good ol' days of the early virtual battletech experience with new authentic-esq cockpits and modern graphics instead of be the president of PGI and give us the best multiplayer game that has ever been seen on the face of battletech so far...
pssst. stretch coal for 2018 Russ....
