As many of you will know from reading the latest patch notes, PGI has once again listened to the vocal minority and studied their less-than-comprehensive stats and decided in their infinite wisdom that the gauss rifle needs to be hit with another nerf, increasing its recharge time from 4 to 5.5 seconds. This increase is not only unnecessary, given the much maligned "gauss mechanic" it is also another example of PGI's typical heavy handed buff/nerf style, this time resulting in an almost unusuable weapon that has 6.25 seconds between each shot and explodes every time someone shoots a machine gun at it.
SERIOUSLY PGI JUST REMOVE THE GAUSS FROM THE GAME LIKE YOU OBVIOUSLY WANT TO. DO THIS, OR GIVE THE FANS OF THIS WEAPON A BREAK INSTEAD OF LISTENING TO THE VOCAL MINORITY! THE GAUSS FANS HAVE LIVED LONG ENOUGH IN ABJECT SILENCE, TAKING NERF AFTER NERF IN THEIR STRIDE. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! WE TOO HAVE EARNED THE RIGHT TO BE HEARD!

The Next Gauss Rifle Nerf

Sadly PGI always listens to scrub and potato tiers, that could not ain at long range, but were wrecked by good players with average aiming skills and using gauss.
PGI does always a good job listening to those potatoes, and reworking to game to the worse.
It's the idiotic Esport mentality wanted by Russ, I guess.
Brawling deathball and no more than that.
gg close pgi

Low heat, high PPFLD and fast projectiles synergized a little too well with long range lasers. I can understand them wanting to nerf it, gaussvomit alphas are pretty insane.
Neutering the DPS to sub-AC/2 levels was not the right way to nerf it. Reverting it to 1200M/S would've kept the weapon usable while making it much harder to land gaussvomit all on the same component.

If the gauss+lezors builds were the problem, then the solution would be this: impossible to use gauss along with lasers.
But now gauss dps is sooooo low that it isn't worth anymore.

It's still 15 points of damage at the point you're aiming the moment you pull the trigger. I doubt they will disappear completely.

I dont understand why you Guys do this,it makes absoluly no sence to increase the thier cooldowns.
It is a Skill based Weapon!
Did you Play your own Game sometimes?
80% of the Players are already runnig Laser configs,why?...think about it!!!
