Hi all,
i bought the pb 1 year ago because the -30% laser Duration quirk. I love this and i NEED this.
It was the only thing why i bough it. Now it is history. Why?
Can i rebuy this mech? I am really frustrated. They kill the Heromech.I want back my money.
Sorry for my bad english.

I personally feel it wouldn't hurt to add + 7-15 Armour to side torso's and + 10 on CT on all variants as they are. Or + additional structure.
To miss the mighty Awesome one must simply unbind weapon groups.

I second this. I bought the Baby pretty much when it first came out, but it quickly became obsolete with all the new mechs that came out. Then they gave it this tweak and brought fresh life back to what I considered to be my Signature Mech. Now, it's back to just meh, at best.

Clyde you are absolutely correct. The Pretty Baby is designed to run an XL. The whole point of it when it came out was that it would run an XL engine. The mech had considerable acceleration and deceleration characteristics making it great to pop over terrain, deliver its SRM/LRM salvo and retreat. Hilariously, PGI nerfed that shortly after we all bought it. The tantalizing XL400 capable of propelling the nimble AWS to 89.1 KPH (at one time) a long with superior torso twisting was a trait is shares only with the 9M variant(I'd like to thank PGI for screwing that particular mech over also. A mind numbing decision that leaves me truly baffled.ERPPCs? 15% heat reduction...? Doesn't work. A monkey playing this game after about 4 minutes in the testing ground could tell you that. but whatever.) Other Assault mechs that see GREAT play-ability in XL engines would include Banshee 3Ms and ALL the Zeus variants and even some niche Battlemasters field incredible loadouts . The basic guideline for that decision is 3 questions. Does this mech have a huge CT and rarely take ST damage. Check. Does this mech have highly energy oriented builds requiring DHS-aggedon. Check. And lastly. IF this mech had a ST blown off (they all have a weapon dominant torso that decent players facing you will KNOW to shoot first) will it still be viable? Lets see. In most cases...No. The Mighty Banshee 3M on the meta build with a STD engine having lost its right torso is left with a whopping, wait for it......3MLs. BOOM. So glad it's still alive. OOOOOORRRR Git'er moving to 75 kph with 22DHS and a MINIMUM of 3LPLs and those aforementioned MLs...and you don't have an assault mech. With the right pilot, it's the finger of God.
