A 50% increase in DPS for the 5V would give you the equivalent of 3MPLs as the max possible output level. Naturally, since this is the Spider, people will say 50% is OP.

Can only agree, having 1 or 2 medium lasers with 2 or 4 machineguns are totally not enough (this is generally not all it can do, but its what the weight allow as a slow spider is a dead spider), Its still one of the most fun mechs to play - but dps wise its useless and cant be used in faction warfare which is a massive shame.
It has 10 tons more than the locust, but still only has 1/3 of possible weaponload to compare, which is a bit unfair, its even as big as a cheetah which is a medium (which has 4 times the firepower, same speed and jumpjets).
Either the default speed increase for each enginesize and the mech becomes smaller, or it needs way more hardpoints to boat small lasers for example. Perferably both.
Edit:
Id also love to move torso hardpoints to where the ams currently located. Im not sure who thought it would be a good idea to design a mech that shoots its primary weapon from the kidney.... come to think of it. Most mechs have wierd hardpoints, maybe someone should look over those.
"Dude, lets put balistic guns on his ankles!"

Arctic Cheetah is a light.
Not all mechs are created equal.
Please refrain from necroing old threads.
