I don't care about cost of breaking. The only problem is time. People who have temporarily moved to other factions can't get back to their 'home' units to earn some points of this event. -> Unable to fully participate.

If everybody can change their faction. It might be more players go to the faction which allready has enough players.
Should be like, we have enough IS guys, you can only swap to Claner, we need more claners, and when we have the stats that both sides are even, we will close this opportunity.

We have adjusted the Personal Challenge goal structure to base it on cumulative Match Score over the course of the event, rather than the original per-Match/Event Point system. Event page has been updated with the new structure.
Great stuff!!

Much better here, if i had known this 3 mins before, i wouldnt have contracted...
Should have not heard of the rumours that this would be possibly, other then on the rumours that Tukayyd will come soon
Yust make the contract cooldown 0 for the event - the breaking payment would be ok for me.
Also by this setup it could work that if a overpopulation seizes up, that many ppl jump over through waiting times.
btw i like the cumulative matchscore thing, this way it makes sense!

NEED SOME INFO AND GUIDANCE ON THIS!!!!!!!!
Most likely there will be LONG WAIT TIMES FOR DROPS...because EITHER CLAN SIDE OR INNER SPHERE SIDE WILL BE OVER SATURATED.

saying they won it isn't whining. it's a statement of fact. PGI even acknowledged it with that after-action report blurb mentioning the wreck of a TDR-5SS with MercStar and Clan Wolf banners planted in it.
The nice thing is since the last Tuk MS have cleaned up their unit a lot. lot of their pilots last time were toxic, which still makes them unpopular among some units to this day. I respect them as being a very coordinated unit.
anyways, looking forward to dropping with and against all of you that do this weekend. It promises to be one hell of a fight. Great time to break in my Marauders!
Once again, good sir, I feel I must correct you.
The event ended in my prime time also, (I'm from europe), and I remember vividly how it ended, since for the last match me and my unit could play, it was my Myst Lynx that landed the final shot on omega (one of my brightest and most fun moments in this game)
During Tuk1, there were o-gens, but they were unarmored. The play style of the era was to use a lance of lights to rush the gens while the other two heavy lances engaged and distracted the enemy. So your statement that omega was vulnerable from the start is blatantly untrue.
Yes, the lights would jump the gates. It won as a lot of matches. it lost us a lot of matches as well.. Mercstar was not the only one employing this strategy. Everybody were using it, both Clans and IS.
There was also another fairly unpopular strategy - Spawn Camping. Also used by many on both sides.
It is NOT true the gates were always closed and turrets were always up. Counter-attack was already a thing, no different from today.
Also, Tukayyid was NOT fairly even. Clans held more than 60% of the planet most of the tournament, and this would only dip below 50% on the last two days. During this, poin-wise, Clan Wolf was solidly first place faction, and MC was solidly most valuable unit. This held true for the entire challenge, start to finish, with no other unit or faction even coming close.
Also, the reason why PGI honored Mercstar as they did was because they were the MVP of the event, having double the wins and points of the next most successful unit.
So, in conclusion, good sir.. please get your facts straight, cose' so far, most EVERYTHING you have written on the subject is simply NOT TRUE.
I was there. I remember.
And since it was the most fun I've had in MWO... I remember VIVIDLY.

I can't tell if you're just trolling or not, but I've never read such a spiteful, hateful post, especially one directed at a company.
I don't know what your problem is, but please, don't actively work to ruin a game so many of us actually like and play regularly..
Also, know that such bile will only get you and your "crew" blocked. And as far as anyone who will not want to play the game because of that bile.. if they can be swayed by some forum posts or rating, and don't actually try the game (or think) for themselves.. we don't really need such players anyway.

I was also there. and the only O-gen at the time was the one on the gun. unless they added the others in in the middle of the event (which is entirely possible, given it was nearly a week long). don't get me wrong, it was hellishly fun too. I'm just saying this time around should be a bit different with what all's changed since then, and quite curious as just what's in wait for us for us in Phase 3. a Dropship upgrade store for the Unit coffer would be awesome to see at some point, not to mention having missions to attack or defend a unit's Company-sized Dropships, like Unions or even a battalion-scale one like an Overlord or Fortress for some of the larger units that could afford them.
also, Splash is an idiot. just ignore him.

Is this a fact or just a blatant, unsubstantiated accusation? Cose' that's a pretty serious accusation.
If you can prove it, than the people that did that should be disqualified and their accounts banned.
If not, then you should get a warning against slandering and name-and-shaming an entire unit. And a top-level performing one at that..
Just saying..
I've heard stories of people saying MS has dummy accounts to get quick matches in CW for months now. i forget the name they use for these dummy accounts.

I've heard stories of angels, demons, and Baba Yaga.. don't mean its true.. could be just some hateful person, or someone settling a score, or even wild assumptions..
I'm saying that without solid evidence, one should not make such serious accusations.. it makes the community hostile and toxic.. and nobody needs that.

Actually, the o-gens were there, cose' I vividly remember wasting my first three mechs on trying to get the gen on the alpha side of Hellbore springs..
Here's some proof:

#Jman5 Any plans to fix generator rushing in Community Warfare?
* Doesn't like it.. difficult to balance
* perhaps double the HP of turrets and O-gens
* key is to think how it affects a normal as opposed to griefing tactics
* Perhaps go with 1/1/1/1
* Not actively working on it.
* Expects to see it during Tukkayid, but not alot
* Jack up O-gen health prior to Tukkayid possibly to slow it down
* Perhaps adding capture points prior to O-gen attacks.
Above are some of Russ's responses during a Town Hall prior to the first Tukayyid event. Clearly O-gens are mentioned in the context of existing before Tuk1, and they were considering buffing them for the event.. Also, it is clear that the o-gens mentioned above are the o-gens we know, that need to be destroyed before Omega, simply because the "gen" on Omega is never refereed to as such, but simply refereed to as "Omega".
Also note the dates: The above transcript is from April 16th. 2015. The first Tukayyid event started on Friday, April 24th. 2015.

I too think things will be greatly different now for Tukayyid 2.. Much has changed since then, especially recently, and lots of new mechs have stepped on to the scene.. maybe the Timberwolf and Thunderbolt won't be the kings any more..
Phase 3 will bring a new CW game mode, and mechanics.. but who knows what else?
And yes.. The gentleman in question is proof humans evolved from lower primates.. I'm genuinely sad for such people.

as for Clans, well, that'll be more your arena, though I'm pretty sure we'll see the usual Hellbringers, Timbers, Dires, Shadowcats and Cheetahs.

You are probably quite on the money in terms of Clan mechs.. Although, I would not be surprised if we saw some Executioners also.. And Ebon Jaguars are also quite popular..
Personally, depending on the dropdeck, and game mode.. I see no point in bringing a cheeta when I can take a shadowcat.. its only 10 tons heavier, and fits in most dropdecks.. even several.. And its a great sniper.. though not for brawling much..
We'll see... This is a "serious" competition, so I'll be bringing my best stuff.. and I've been saving priority arty's and improved cooling pods for this ever since the first Tukayyid event (literally, I've been stocking up for an event like this, I never use them otherwise, rather buying the 40K variety)
After all, we Clanners, and especially Clan Wolf, have a title to defend..

I made sure to spend my pilot skills into improved artillery, Airstrikes and Improved UAV. I'm actually pretty sure there isn't an appreciable diff between them and the MC ones....but honestly most of the time I'm using them as a suppression or flushing tool anyways. Doesn't mean I don't chuckle when I see one blow off several limbs or make a mech take a dirt nap, though.
speaking of which, has PGI ever given us a close-up look at the Aerospace fighter model used for Airstrikes?
from what little I've managed to see of it, it looks a bit like a Stuka, or possibly a MechBuster. course, it could just as easily be a dozen other fighters.
edit: found it! according to a Reddit guy way back, it's the LTN-G15 Lightning, a 50 ton Medium Aerospace fighter found amongst a few of the houses of the Inner Sphere. http://www.sarna.net...ighter_class%29

You, PGI, disappointing the community one more time...
BMMU, MS and 228 already on Clan side, I do not think that the clans have trouble winning again this time, allow the small units like mine move to the IS, at least if we can't win we will be happy playing for the faction we are faithful.
