Seriously why?
And whose brilliant idea was it?
Not fun having to re - work your drop decks.
Stop doing stupid stuff for absolutely no reason.
You seriously need to create a Dumb Idea Office to screen this mess.
You were doing fantastic with this last patch.
Until whoever it was walked in and said hey I got a brilliant idea.
Next time lock the freaking door or send him or her out for donuts.
Just plain dumb.

Actually, this isn't the first time a patch has reset the IS tonnage back to 240. Seems to be a side effect they can't quite get their heads around.

Probably because they want to use this event the test the latest round of balancing, in particular the Clan laser nerfs.

Not for no reason:
they just nerfed the clams and buffed the IS.

And now want to see using this event how they stack up against each other with no other modifiers (IE, different drop sizes)

I'm sure the inconvenience for you is truly painful though

The worst part about it is that it makes it so you can't run 3 Marauders. It's super lame.

I haven't touched Community Warfare for quite some time now, and so I wasn't aware they even buffed tonnage in the first place. What was the tonnage increased to (before it got set back again)?

Used to be 250, now it is 240. I can't run my 85+85+45+35 deck anymore. Guess I'll run the 85+65+45+45 deck, swapping a Battlemaster and Firestarter with a Jager-DD and BJ-3.

It was 250, and I really wish it was still 250. I really don't want to go back to 3 Tbolts and a BJ, since I am a horrible in lights.

Russ said on Twitter it was set back to 240 to test the new balance pass. 240 v 240. Apples to apples as he put it.

From the looks of where it's at now, clans are totally dominating the IS still. It's at 70+% captured already. For anecdotal evidence, played 3 games, lost all three, though pug vs. pug was not a total stomp which was nice.

Which I might add I don't care what schemes they come up with.
CW should be 10 vs. 12 period.
No matter the amount of Clam whine Clam mechs are still superior to IS mechs.
Their suppose to be.
But never in the same freaking numbers.

Any braindead person can tell you the result: Total clan domination.

Simply put, balance is still dramatically in the Clan's favor. So what if they applied some token nerfs/buffs to clans and IS?

The root issues such as the TREMENDOUS elephant in the room that is the Clan XL engine have not been addressed.

If they intend to stack IS mechs up against Clan mechs one on one in both CW and quick match, then IS tech needs to be equivalent in power to Clan tech. Lore be damned. Because right now we don't have asymetric warfare. We have warfare where clan tech is just like IS tech, except better.

Well the good news is I always run a lower tonnage deck for this reason since they have twice changed it from 240 to 250 and back

Would be interested in knowing the average size of groups dropping per side and which units are on which side. My first 6 or so matches were basically pugs vs groups of 5-12man, almost no pugs on clan sides (going by unit tags). Once I got one that was a IS 2man and pugs vs 5man and pugs, IS won 48-24.

The tonnage change is actually hidden in the Event notes.

And it is still completely ridiculous, instead of leaving the system as is, and letting IS players keep the dropdecks we have been building and practicing for the last year, they change up the system at the last minute because they hope that their brand new 3 day old patch has fixed balance even though their last 12 haven't.

Had they kept the old drop tonnage, there is a chance IS would have had an advantage, but they could keep the decks they have been building and practicing with. Or there is an equal chance the Clans would still have an advantage even though smaller than before the patch.

Now, we have the Clans with a fairly minor nerf, along with the IS top performers getting a nerf (TDRs and STK), and then the IS gets a drop deck tonnage nerf too.

I think a fair bit of the clan advantage in this Tukkayid event, just like the last one, is the fact that clans can play for objectives and end matches quicker, and therefore their organized units can rack up wins much faster than the IS units can even if they don't fight better. They can also snatch wins by objectives when down on kills if in a pinch.

Together with the fact that a lot of the comp units went clan while the IS is full of pugs for them to stomp I think matters much more than the actual mech balance for the outcome of the event.

Other then that I can see how it makes sense to down the IS dropdecks to 240 to test the balance changes, I actually have no problem with that because I'm curious to see how the ton for ton balance is myself.

Also, FRR top IS faction so far :) Skål mina bröder! <3 battle hardened FRR pugs.
