Teamspeak is a must in this game. There's simply not a way to be able to communicate between as well as during matches otherwise. For the longest time I used Overwolf to tell me who was talking in Teamspeak. But that stopped working awhile back and none of my troubleshooting has produced anything. Unfortunately their support is not as responsive as is PGI to say the least.

It's too confusing to not know who is talking and hard to get to know people when that doesn't work. So I have been pretty crippled by this. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a replacement or even an alternative.

The ones in this list

http://addons.teamsp...ry/overlay.html

aren't supported anymore, and some carry warnings they might be perceived as cheat tools. Any suggestions?

if you have a second monitor set MWO to full window and just leave Teamspeek open on the second monitor, that is what I do.

I use "TeamSpeak 3 Overlay plugin", a plugin for TS3. At least for me I installed and it worked without any tweaking. It is light weight compared to overwolf and it doesn't have any social network non sense.

Or, run teamspeak on your phone or tablet (my approach).

How did you find a version that works? It hasn't been supported in years and the website isn't even there anymore.

I also have temp/ram monitoring and a clock on my 2nd display. I use a 39" HDTV plus a 19" LCD monitor.

That's the first news I heard about it being abandoned lol, I just googled for it, seemed like legit and put it on, it worked so I didn't ask myself any more questions haha. Maybe my computer and OS is suitable old??

I've been using Overwolf without a problem. That's saying something, too--I'm playing this on a 4 year old iMac with Win7/64 on a 250 GB partition through BootCamp. That's BEGGING for problems.

To be fair, though, I haven't played in a month or two. So it MAY be problematic for me, too, and I just don't know it.

It's more about the version of TeamSpeak you are running. From what I read that plugin quit working during some version of TeamSpeak several years ago. Do you know what version of TeamSpeak and the plugin you are using? Do you have any data on where you got the version of the plugin you have?

For those of you who run Teamspeak on your tablet or a second computer, the question which comes to mind is this:

How do you make a key on the computer on which you play MWO activate Teamspeak on another computer? How do you get the sound from your tablet or the other computer to mix with the sound from MWO on your main computer coming through your headphones or whatever? I have a few ideas on that, with the second problem being easier to fix than the first, but I am curious what you are doing there.

Can you tell me what version of Overwolf and Teamspeak you are using? It seemed to me that this problem started when there was an update to both of them somewhat recently. Obviously the Mac versions will be different unless you are using something like Wine or Parallels, but information is ammunition.
