Guys what about beta play with just the 4 mechs they have the art for, so we see how things play than trying to do all that will be done for the main game

I don't think the mech variety is the problem here, seeing as they've stated that they're pre-alpha at the moment. Sure you can play it, just don't question the reason why it's just a black screen with no input controls.

that is not how i meant instead of doing all the mechs they have in the main game . have those 4 working to get the online play right so we can see bugs in the online part

I don't think they'll release as a beta on their launch day, if they do then oh well but I'm hoping not.

You know, I've always wanted to see a commercial game in all it's un-textured, poorly-rendered, pre-alpha ugliness. I find it fascinating looking at alpha screens of old video games and comparing them to the finished product.

I'd like to play a commercial game that was properly rendered, well textured, and not full of crippling glitches and bugs a month after release.

I think 4 mechs in a barely-developed engine is getting a bit desperate. Maybe try MWLL / AT1 / MW4 to tide you over the next few months.

Personally I'm going to try to finish Mechwarrior 1. The other night I had a dream that it had a training level, instead of just dumping me in the hotseat and making me drive $3,000,000 worth of merc money towards the enemy base.

And where you find MW1 at. I could only find the C Hawk one.

External link, use at own risk, blah... blah... blah...

http://www.mektek.net/

Run around in there if you wish for a MW fix.

I've been playing MW3, MW4, and AT1, but I would still sell my neighbors into slavery to play a beta, even with MW3-like graphics.

Right, like not being able to customize your load out, a huge headache getting the game to work with a joystick, and elitest ****** on the forums? No. MW:LL is a joke, although a high quality one.

Sounds to me like you've got problems, with the game that is... and it's community... I thought there was custom loadouts, I might just be crazy, a high possibility...

It's not like this is new in the forums. We wouldn't be here if we didn't want to play the game.

Our Devs, unlike Heinlein on authoring aren't doing it in private.

I appreciate that they provided the forum at all. Gives me a great place to get completely amp'd up about a game I haven't even seen yet.
