I like the Urby in the trash can and the phoenix and some of the other cockpit items that make noise and move (not jus shake or swing) BUT
When do these items do these actions.
I know the horns go off when you kill someone but what about:
Trash Can (Urby Mech) ?
Phoenix ?
Do they all activate when you kill smeone

I believe they are kill activated as well.

I wonder how many fps those items eat up, if any. Wish there was a way to have a minimal HUD option. Turning it off gives me 10-15 fps, which helps in CW games when I'm only getting 15-30 fps at times. Of course, playing with no HUD is not really an option...

hey maybe once they get all those screens working, you won't need a HUD at all!
Many of my mechs have multiple cockpit items.. I haven't noticed an FPS difference between the ones that do and the ones that don't (so far)

That would be nice...one can always hope, I suppose. Have the free look system like how it's done in Elite (not that the screens would appear out of nowhere but that you could free look and operate them, instead of having to zoom to the screen itself):

Real cockpits are lostech or just a PGI programming fail. You decide.
