Since I upgraded to Windows 10, MWO crashed with the message "Failed to initialize game!". It took me several hours and 4-5 full reinstalls of the game before I figured out I needed to delete the game.cfg from "User/[USER]/Savegame Files/MechWarriror Online" to fix it. The problem returns if I switch to "DX11" or "auto" in the video settings. The game will only run if I leave it on DX9.
I don't know if my system is partly to blame. I have a newly built PC with recent parts.
If there is an issue with Win10, then MWO needs to be fixed to support Win10, OR at the very least, you need to grey out the DX11 option for Win10 user and make it so the "auto" option doesn't break the game.
Thanks

im not sure if this is a windows 10 specific problem. i run dx11 fine on windows 10 (retail build), hate to sound pedantic but have you installed chipset drivers/etc?

Running 64bit Windows 10 and DX11. Everything is working fine here.
You should contact support.

Win10 Pro 64-bit free upgrade download (which I used to make a bootable USB installer from and then clean installed) and DX11 mode working great here. I've often found that OS upgrades cause problems like the one you describe way too often, so I do a clean install every time. Pain in the butt initially, but far less hassle over time.
Running on a year-old Intel i5-4690K and GTX 980 with 16GB RAM, that I built myself, if it matters. Newest drivers all around.
