Also curious whose 'mech they chose for the Hero model and what artwork they're going for this time.
Well? Can we see it yet?

For the longest time the Marauder and Warhammer seemed like near impossibilites
Hell, even the King Crab seemed impossible at one point
It's probably coming
Edit: pick up that phone, because I called it a day early

He didn't say specifically which one that I heard, or drop any dead giveways that said it was for sure the Archer. All I heard him say was something about 4 unseen mechs.
The next one could very easily be the Phoenix Hawk. Which in the name of sanity I hope it is. Too many consecutive heavy chassis releases will break the heavy queue forever

If you mean the Unseen mechs, then yeah, that was weird that they popped those out before the IICs got here. But the IICs are next week, so not much more of a wait.

I think the ARC-2S or 5S is a good candidate; it keeps LRMs in the side torsos supported by SRMs (or streaks), the usual lasers and a NARC beacon on the 5S. That's a pretty hefty number of missile hard points.
The 3rd variant is tougher to guess; the 2K might get us more energy hard points in the arms. The 2W could get missile hardpoint(s) in the CT, perhaps?
There are a number of heroes that we might get; we don't have a Kell Hound hero yet, so I would think Morgan Kell more likely than Jaimie Wolf or Cranston Snord; but there are a LOT of significant IS pilots who drove the Archer at some point.

Archer Wolf - This variant of the Archer carries Clan-spec equipment. The arms mount ER Large Lasers, while a pair of Small Pulse Lasers cover the rear. The LRM-20s are enhanced with Artemis IV Fire Control Systems, and an ECM Suite and AMS protect against incoming fire. CASE is in each torso. Fifteen double heat sinks keep the 'Mech cool. BV

A legend among many 'Mech regiments, "Slim" Atkins is one of the oldest MechWarriors still on active duty. Throughout his career, he has refused any promotion, preferring to remain in Charles Henry's Lance of the Waco Rangers. The Rangers are a battalion-sized mercenary unit thought to be full of misfits and drifters, many of whom have proven themselves as among the best MechWarriors of the day. Atkins is famous for his gunnery skill aboard his beloved Archer, the Six-Gun Slim. Seeing the insignia of crossed energy pistols on the front of Atkin's Archer coming toward them, many opponents quickly decide to engage other targets.

Well Flea is quite possible, It can be a 20 tonner with max engine cap (on MASC variants) at 150 kph but MASC's to 170-175 kph realm. Not breaking the game by going 200 kph because it does 170 kph before hand but not making MASC useless, The main trade of is making this the most agile mech in game and such.
Now a big problem is the Firemoth... this thing without speed tweak goes 170 kph and normally goes around 230 kph with MASC activated....
