A tasty snack for a Fastback or Jenner, or even the standard Commando at that speed. Would it actually get to the top of a hill before the match ended?

The ballistic weapons we could possibly use are the smaller auto cannons everything else is too bulky. The ones would we could most likely fit on are the machine guns which are kinda crap and go against light mech's shoot and run tactics.

Well, it is essentially a sniper, therefore a lance involving (and, for all intents and purposes, built around) it would likely be set up on one of several different ways, including but not limited to:
  • two two-member sniper teams (with each team composed of one COM-1CG as sniper plus one COM-2D or COM-3A as spotter/flanker)
  • one four-member sniper team (COM-1CG as sniper, two COM-2Ds as dual-role spotters/flankers, and one COM-3A as dedicated flanker)
  • one four-member sniper team (COM-1CG as sniper, one COM-2D as spotter, and two COM-3As as flankers)
By itself, a COM-1CG would be vulnerable and minimally effective; as part of a specifically set-up "Steiner Sniper Battle Armor Lance" (which is, in turn, teamed with a couple of "Steiner Scout Lances" to form a company), it would be much more effective, yes? :)

I always thought the reason there was a lack of good ballistic lights was because of the lack of decent light ballistic weapons. If they fix that ACHINGLY old problem then yes, more ballistic light mechs.

Definitely hoping for the inclusion of the Locust. I love the design of that mech.

Lights all the way for me.
