Oh, sure - nothing in there sounded broken and in need of fixing (they didn't seem to uncover any bugs, or at least if they did they were omitted from the story). I think that it just happens to still be during the beta, lots of folks are excited about the chance of getting in, and so they wanted to share a little teaser of the experience. Lots of us have been asking for this sort of thing for months... so we can live vicariously through the gameplay of those who are testing ;)

To kill a whole area, yes - but to kill the pilot and take down the mech all you need is 9 armor (in TT - 18 in MWO it seems) plus one hit to the "cockpit" crit space. I know this first-hand, having been 1-shoted in TT by a Clan Large Pulse Laser (10 damage).

... and, with a gauss doing 15 points, one shot would not be a kill even without double armour (hence it was nearly black when he faced it later)

Not sure where people are getting 9 internals for a 'Mech's head. In TT Battletech, ALL 'Mechs' heads have 3 internals with a maximum of 9 armour.

People do tend to signal me (and any Dev) out right away.

They also tend to team damage me rather often.
