One thing is that PGI should bring in a way to differentiate Omnis from non-Omnis positively. Currently, the performance gain via full customization by IS mechs (if brought over to Clan second-line mechs) are such that the Clan second-lines would likely become preferred over most Omnis, whereas in-Lore Omnis are cutting edge because of the operational and strategic advantages they brought to the touman (which is not represented well in game).
If the Omnis don't get some sort of advantage, then user preference would likely slide towards Clan second line mech. Given the performance disparity between IS and Clan mechs, it's also likely that more IS players would swap to Clan second line mechs, and this is not good from various perspectives.

considering that IS are getting the (Return of a Icon) Mechs as Single Packs,
perhaps Clans will get some Singles as well for abit, would be a Nice Change,
Could bring about the possibility of Clan Hero mechs - the one at a time release thing again.

Edited for inaccuracy: Bushwhacker is not an Omni.

Jumbo Packs are bad, and people asking for them should feel bad. Wouldn't mind there next group of mechanical being Clanners, but only if released singlely, like the Unseen.
The jumbo packs is the best for their values if you want everything on there.
Colours, camouflages, war horns, and cockpit items are all things I want in a package. As well as a 4th variant. getting the early tiers may be bad, for eg comparing say Clan Wave III Ach with the Performance Light pack, but if you try to compare say an Executioner pack for clan wave III or the highlander IIC of origins to say a bunch of marauders, archers, warhammer.
I would have more value with the big packs.
I do not want to spend 40 dollars each time on a light mech I want- ie a Wasp, Stinger, Valkrie, Firemoth (if only...) Flea, Howler, Piranha, Raptor, etc. Just to get a few standards, a premium version, and probably lots of c-bills and modules to compensate... like a Small laser range boost on a flea will really help me...
Sure- getting the 20/40 dollar style for say a marauder is quite good for value, especially since their is a hero mech option. It is better to say buy a marauder this way than a la carte a Timberwolf (or summoner), if I instead got the package of that tier (for extra money) giving me a light ,medium, and the heavy, with 3 sets of faction packs (3 colours each, 3 cockpit items, 3 skins), etc...
Call me an idiot all you want but I would prefer to buy these packages.... unless it's a kodiak, I am more than happy to pay 40 dollars up front for it or 55 for a hero one.... or 100 for a collectors super edition extreme early pre order special.

Why not get one IN timeline instead?
We're less than a month for 3052, the first IS omnimech, the Raptor. It actually has double heatsinks too so no hard wired singles. (even though singles are buffed and have the same heat capacity as clans DHS more or less)

Edit: Raptor II is an abomination. It lacks the class and sophistication of the real Raptor!

And when you don't want everything in them, which is common because about half of each pack is crap, they are a rip, as it's a La carte. And theses singles come loaded, if you early adopt, also. And give you a crap load more versatility, as you can buy what mechs you want, and only those, and if you don't want the cbill bonus version, you have the option.
Jumbo packs are crap.

So Alex, if you ever make this thing, feel free to depart from the original art as wildly as possible. Seriously, it can only go up from where it's at. I totally won't be mad.

I would love to see the clans get iconic "totem" mechs. Like the Kodiak for Clan Ghost Bear.the Stone Rhino for Smoke Jaguar, etc, released as single mech packs. The only problem is a lot of the iconic clan mechs are already in the game.
