Hiya guys,

So I've finally been bugged enough to be bothered to look for a microphone to lead/command/scout without having to stop to type on MWO.

I've got a few requirements that need to be filled, and would like your recommendations on this as I haven't really purchased a mic before for gaming. A headset for work, yes; but that hardly counts as gaming viable as the sound that comes out of the earpiece is garbled. I'd like to stick to my Sennheiser HD650 cans, if possible.

So, the requirements:

- Good voice signal-to-noise (My rig sounds like a Spider about to take off with 12 jumpjets during play)
- Standalone (Cannot be a headset)
- Below AU$100

Looking forward to seeing what you guys can share!

One that comes to mind is the trusty Blue Snowball family of USB microphones. They have good quality sound for most applications but at the time of this post's writing they might be hard to find in Australia.

Thanks guys. Just checked out the Snowball, it's available in Australia but is like $109.95 xD. Will keep looking.
