KGC, no matter how tanky an Atlas is, will always have better hardpoints and a better hill-poke profile.

The King Crab is still better overall.
That being said, the Atlas is NOT trash-tier, and it still has one advantage - full mobility in the arms, which carry energy weapons. Now, that's a small advantage compared to the King Crab's better mix of hardpoints AND better positioning of hardpoints, but it is worth noting.

If the King Crab is your only mech so far, i would suggest that you buy a second and third one. That way wou will be able to master it, which will improve the performance of the Crab quite a bit. Do you know where the skill tree is? (Genuine question

Well if you like assaults, the Banshee is probably the best the IS has.
From a pure damage output potential, quirked AC/5's and PPC's are < 4 UAC/5's + 2ML with the ammo to back it up. I piloted the Banshee extensively including getting my Ace of Spades in that chassis, but it doesn't have the damage output as a KGC. Then factor in the ability to shoot up or down on hill maps compared to shield arms, and I took the KGC every time. If they put the LPL quirks back into the 3S, it might be somewhat more competitive with the KGC. I'm not buying a Lamache to get the LPL quirks, quirks which are changed at whim.

i like atlas so much more for what it is, but this right here...a few of the atlas are kinda gimmicky like the K, and BH though. if youre going to get an atlas, id choose between DDC and 000B, 000 is overkill, and consists of unviable numbers. 2 too many ballistic, and youll want at least 3 energy for mixing builds. then get other Krabs....or be cool and get a DDC, tough choice, tis a good question
