Here's an idea - let's make Battlemechs out of the same stuff that the buildings are made of.

Those things seem to be able to take tons of damage without showing any signs of damage.

We're trying to move away from Ghost Heat, remember? Nobody wants that nonsense. There's gotta be a better way.

Besides, recommending a nerf for SRMs, one of the more broken and sad weapons in the game (historically speaking), pretty much invalidates your whole argument and ruins your credibility.

The trick there is to do the math. First reduce all the TT numbers to their Real Time equivalent.

Less than Wowerific for all of them, but who cares its TT!!


Now you have the valid values. Now take those numbers and multiply by 1000 because BIG NUMBERS IMPRESS SMALL MINDS MOST OF ALL. Now decide on the Rate of fire you want each of these weapons to have. Divide that big number by the RoF, currently with cooldown mods and skills you can get to what 2.5 seconds for ML? So take that by 1000 number and divide by 4 (the number of times to equal that 10 second term) VIOLA Table top math based validity to all your numbers.

Now multiply all the armor and structure by 1000 as well.

Instant WOW factor, instant credibility with ZERO deviation from TT values.

reduce all colldown modules form 12 to 10% will help with huge dps too
