After playing some CW the last few days, I must say that it's unplayable right now. It's filled with new players, that came from Steam, who have no idea what they are doing and get absolutely annihilated by more experienced teams. This is no fun at all. For anybody.

Yesterday, we made the mistake of dropping with a large 228 group. The game ended after 13 minutes with a score of 46:7 and the best player on the other team did 539 damage.
Then we dropped in a 4 man and without even trying did ~2k damage each, while everybody else did 1k or less.
I was in a Shadow Cat most of the match and at one point tried to headshot an Atlas with my ERLLs, because he didn't know what twisting is. It would've worked too, if my lance-mates hadn't CT'd him a second too early.

I'm not here to brag. I'm just trying to show that there is a massive skill gap between the old and new players and it destroys the game mode. New players get stomped and veterans get bored and leave. And tomorrow the stomping will get a lot worse, when all the higher tiers want to play CW to level their new IIC mechs.

I doubt any of those new players will want to come back and play again after being crushed that hard. Over and over again.
The little "CW is hardcore mode" pop-up is clearly not helping. We need a better system to protect the new players or they won't stay.

If we can't get match-making for CW, then at least new players shouldn't be allowed to join CW before they have finished their cadet games. Even longer would be even better. They can't learn the game this way, they'll only get frustrated.

Can you add a poll for Yes No Something. Cause I have no words other than random and/or distant drop points. If you do distant add a train for the assaults lol.

I agree, “I” need something. I am coming back after 2yr (yes because of steam) and was playing the quick games, was doing pretty well with my CPLT-K2 with my dual AC/10 setup, and then I discovered Faction Play. I joined House Davison with 14 day contract and now I am being curbed stomped. It really does seem like it is all Pugs vs Pros at the moment.

Agreed, I suggest a new player should have lets say 50 kills on at least four different mechs before allowing to enter CW mode. By the way CronoxII I am not a rockie is an account I created so I could play on the Clan side.
