So I am installing the update (Bravo PGI to the fast update!) and the first thing I have to agree to is a new CoC. What changed?

I notice a little blurb about falsely reporting players... That's good. I've seen it happen a few times already.

But what else?

Honestly didn't read it. Not enough time at lunch for all that. I have new mechs to master so I can play them later tonight.

I don't think they've added in anything new (The "PGI own your 1st born" was there before, right?) but they have put more detail on what definitely counts as breaking the rules.

The main bit to remember is the Terms and Conditions, which still remain "we can do whatever we want, because"

WAIT!!

"Demanding a public response or acknowledgement of topics, comments, or other communications"

I think I just became the happiest girl in 4th grade!!

Did they remove mentions of IGP from it finally?

IGP is gone.

On another note... where do we select our colors that we want for these IIC packs?

Nevermind... it is under Profile/Content here on the forum. Hello Jade Falcon yellow paint! Now I can have a bumblebee Wubshee. Muhahahahahaha.

yes, and they put in a bunch of what is and isn't Non participation. Including "Disliking a map or game mode or attempting to preserve a player statistic such as Kill/Death Ratio are not acceptable excuses for non-participation".

Oh baby, where have you been all my life

So I would read that to mean suiciding at the end of the match is now a reportable and possibly bannable offense... that is a good change, ifor I am interpreting that correctly.

Suiciding gives you a death. It just doesnt give anyone a kill.

Not the same thing.

Besides suiciding is faster for everyone. Win win.

Speaking of which, there have been a handful of times that ive gotten the bad spawn on Tourmaline, started taking LL fire and just disconnected, knowing that I cant make it across the field without some serious luck.

I was dead anyways, so dropping 10 seconds faster than waiting for the death animation, just makes sense. If I could quit the match during the deathcam, id just wait.

Someone running off to suicide is a win for the opponents that are denied a kill/assist/various other rewards? That's total BS.

Not sure, as they also have "Willfully or repeatedly self-destructing one’s ‘Mech, either by overheating, going out-of-bounds, or committing some other form of suicide or intending to cause abnormally early death."

I'm reading it as 'if you can fight on, fight on. You just don't have to do it in a stupid manner'

Yep, steam has no CoC update - we can non-participate all we want.

Oddly, I don't think there was ever any sort of agreement notice when I installed on steam for that matter.

You dont understand why we had to sign another TSA?

It is because the game was merged with steam.
Now every 5-13 year old, that was not smart enough to find this game, can log right in!
Have fun, this is the 2nd end the MWO you once knew.

Working as intended; if they had merged with steam long ago, the fouders would have left even quicker. This way they can get mom/dad's Credit Card now to line thier pockets, and not completely destroy what the game was(because with time they already did that)
You dont actually think this game is hurting finanicially in any way do you? It's not. It's plain old fashioned greed on the company's part, and with dealing with so many kids now, they needed a new TOS agreement lol.

If I am at lower than 50% or we are down by 5 I will always put my mechs on override. The extra alpha is still damage and I do not care if I die. I guess I should not taunt the poor ****** who just followed me across the map for the last 5 minutes. If you admit to it in chat it would probably be a no brainer for a report versus heat of battle overheat.

NOTE better players could care less and and will not bite, some games are so lopsided an overheat suicide versus 4-5 players is the only way to have an impact on the enemy team. (please folks see the sarcasm, I know the real world options, I just hate dragging a bad match out.

I don't believe so. The way I read it is that those [surats] that find a hidey hole and shut down for 10 minutes after their team dies will start being penalized.

The one thing that immediately caught my attention was the new rules regarding non-participation. Apparantly, from the looks of it, it means that people are obligated to put themselves up for execution if the match is lob-sided.

If that's the case, I might just end up retiring from this game.
