I'm guessing that the IS swept the field?

Yea with both teams. Quirks too good lol. Clan did put up a good fight though especially on some. The thing is that in games like this with high-top level players even the smallest of margins can cause an avalanche let alone when you have certain outliers that are significantly larger.

*Chuckle* Saw that coming. I've been saying for a while now that the IS had a decided advantage over the Clanners.

That's one reason why I never play Clan.

Glad that event worked out.

No need to. Just drop the .jpg at the end of each one, and the images load fine.

Well I don’t get it, they did this balance thing and even tested the stuff on the PTS

So I thought things would be a lot closer

I was pretty surprised

The problem is PGI hasn't conducted any kind of official balance test between both sides ever since they did that second random solo queue IS vs. Clan test over a year ago, although I suspect they likely used both Tukayyid 1 and 2 as metrics, which we all know is not a controlled test in the slightest.

This test was not completely free from all outside variables, but it's the closest thing we've had to a controlled test. I'm personally very happy the results ended up being so drastic, because it eliminates the potential influence of smaller variables.

For me, it's science proving the obvious. I've maintained a long time now, to the derision of some forumites, that the IS was superior to the Clans. These results come as no surprise to me.

Time to unlock Clan chassis and make them fully customizable and to start giving some chassis, like the Summoner, better quirks.

I mean, most of the people complaining about Clan mechs sucking are bad players. Just because IS has an advantage doesn't mean its a HUGE advantage.

are the images working for anyone else?

Imgur seems to be messing with my pictures. Sometimes they work and other times they don't.

Trust me, I'm more than competent. I simply conducted my own Clan v IS test between my Mechs and realized that the IS has the definitive advantage. That, with the lack of customization afforded by the Clans, turned me off to them a long time back.

I'm surprised at the amount of c-ER LL that is being used. That seems like a losing strategy to me...

Click the link and then delete the .jpg at the end of it to make it show.

As soon as I saw those exes' I typed on twitch "EXEs suck" then POW they go down

So much room in the Mech is taken up by JJs and masc. it leaves little room for heat sinks and weapons

Don’t take them into CW or use them against the try hards

imho

Honestly... EXE are not bad. Doing 20-30 damage is the result of a miscue, not a bad mech. I actually think Executioners would have been more useful than Dire Wolves on Canyon.

At least they can poke with 3 cLPLs with high hardpoints.

The problem with the EXE, and I'd say now a problem with Clan mechs overall, is there's always an overquirked IS mech that is better suited and quirked for any practically any play style.

For example, the EXE can in fact poke nicely with 3 cLPLs, but why take that over a Banshee?

I think the main reason we didn't use EXEs on Canyon was that EXEs never had enough time to really be deemed, "comp worthy." In hindsight, the MASC may have helped enough in the poke game that it would have been a better option than the DWF, but I don't think it would have been enough to alter the results in any significant way.
