So...this might be draining some of the stupid people from our game that we love:

I wonder if PGI has any stance here on flipping their logo upside down and calling their game MWO?

Don't be judging them....they are free to play (I've been reading that about some game somewhere).

One Shouldn't criticize unless you try it first.

I'm pretty sure that with as niche as both these games are they didn't know about our MWO.

Weirdly enough, this game seems to have a similar logo to MWO o.O

"mwo" is not a trademark I think

and it doesn't drain anything because there is no any "mwo" promotion

Considering there were around 70k founders, most probably the hard core fans of MW, and considering 90% dont play the game anymore, you may consider that a huge down vote.
But reality tells you that this huge number of MW fans just dont give an F for the current MW title.
Take that as you want.

Um.. for context...

IIRC, Hawken was actually positive according to Steam, and it went the way of the dodo (well, it technically died once).

Just because you have positive (or negative) reviews doesn't somehow magically make you immune to failure.

Not as harsh as they would have expected. I confess I was happily surprised to see a mostly positive reception for my favorite game universe.

So far, I'm not sure the STEAM launch was "all that and a bag of chips".

Even if numbers have doubled, I'm not sure that's enough.

Then again, there's still all of the Christmas Holidays for people to pick it up. I think that the next 2 weeks are crucial for them to build some numbers.

I have an idea. lets all get on there, and write trash, bull**** reviews about nothing relevant to the game or it's current state, bash the developers, then deliberately target the players who enjoy the game and call them pathetic sheep. Then proceed to finish your review with 'I still play'
Just trying to keep it original, y'know?
Haha good times.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...

That's cause there was no "mixed review" option. Posted Image

Yeah because double of 2 is still only 4. Unless the laws of math have changed.

when you add in the "I'm still playing after 3 years but this game sux" negative reviews, it all evens out.

hawken died because it was abandoned by its devs, not because it as a crappy game with good reviews.

Oh! I love making up numbers and not needing to back it up with anything! here, let me try!

making things up is fun!

I take it as confirmation bias.

Well, considering the business model of "hey lets do stupid stuff to antagonize loyal players and turn them against us, then censor their complaints till they ragequit, and then be astonished to find them waiting in the tall grass for 3 years to get payback", what did you expect?

I mean sure, the cynics have issues, but they weren't born that way. PGI went out of their way to create them. You would think PGI learned something from getting shadowbanned on redit, but nope.

I thought it was related to the publisher or something.

Either way, there are other examples.

you know you are old when the acronyms you used for games you played now refer to other games.
