Don't trust IGN. Or any distributor for that matter. Unless Piranha games and IGP come out and give a release date publicly then such distributors are just making up whatever sounds good. My previous post is going off information Piranha has given us that you can find on the forums.

the forms IGN use when filling out data sheets for up coming titles need dates, and TBA doesn't cut it, so they just make stuff up for it. Founders get in Aug 7. I imagine maybe 2-3 weeks of beta testers plus founders before the game goes open beta, and at that point we're pretty much released.

Well the dates seem wrong founder is 7 of aug (8/7/12) as for open beta can see it being the 17th but most likely later as for forum members before others i see no reason for it?

There isn't an official date but they are aiming for 2012. My guess would be that after a month or 2 of the open beta that starts August it will see release. But hey the longer it takes the more time I'll have to farm stuff before the freebie kids show up. They said they aren't wiping anything you get from August 7th onward. Before the kids even get on the game we'll have a lot of stuff and levels.
