The question is, why does Alex (or FD like Jun said above) sometimes draw the orthos differently than the concept arts (he draws both)? Or is it just our perception (because the Mechs in the concept arts are angled)?

Its possible the modelers wanted him to draw the orthos differently for them. I will see if i can get shimmy to ask him though.

Probably the same reason why a lot of concept arts (for any game) go through many iterations before being made into a final product.
To be perfectly honest, i kind of like the taller cockpit (sue me) over the squished one. Though the arms could use some angling.

I do think the arms need a little angle to them. But I would guess they are trying to make the silhouette distinct from the Hellbringer. After the 'Baby Kingcrab' Marauder whining I think they are attempting to stop a 'they just tweaked the Hellbringer model!!' QQ.

More iterations for a better comparison, In my opinion its a bit too bulky, the arms are too different, also i would change the top side torsos to resemble the original ones, they are longer and dont have that strange jagermech wing

Spoiler

Also who wants missile doors?

A lot of people want these unseens/classics/whatever they are now called to be too similar to the original looks. This is flat out impossible due to HG being HG. Afaik the first one is from Catalyst and probably the only one we should be comparing it too if we are looking for changes.

From what everyone is saying most just want the arms angled a bit and the cockpit lowered a tiny bit. Both should be super easy...I have used maya and blender in my past quite an easy fix.

I personally like the general aesthetic of the new arms, but I think what's missing is the 'elbow' piece sticking out past the upper arm in the back there.

theyre too fat at the elbows

Do it Bish.

It seems you are between the "lucky ones" Russ reads or answers in Tweeter.

(don't even want to say what happened to my tweets...)

dun did it yesterday. The answer was that they "might" be able to adjust the arms (duh, it's just rigging!) but too late for the head. I would suggest that he needs to hear from a LOT of players about the cockpit if you want to see it fixed.

Warhammer never had the torso missile doors. And the point is we can't HAVE the HG Unseen.

Kapusta11,

Well done, sir. The head-lowering really brings out the "stocky-ness". And I think you shortened the arm shoulder pads a little, which was a key characteristic of the original artwork.

The current model is okay; your suggestions would really make the model shine.

Difference is there is no relationship between a Marauder and a King Crab. The Hellbringer is the Clans Omni descendant of the Warhammer.

The arms look too short to be warhammer arms. Look at the concept art in the store and compare it to that screenshot.

Actually, the arms are almost identical to the concept art. Angle matters.

Honestly I think it's really ugly, deal breaker for me.

Has nothing to do with resemblence to original or not btw, I have no relation to the unseen, I just think it's ugly.

Angled arms look so much better. I don't even want the one on the right.

All these awesome bookstick mechs that are supposed to have them and then the Orion IIC gets a GIGANTIC UGLY Right torso ballistic slot that you can stab people with if you sharpen the barrels. Ugliest thing in the game.....so far and that is saying a lot.

Who puts the aesthetic failures past muster and into the interwebs?

I would have but they took polls out of General a long time ago... I think it was a mistake! Now Twitter has polls so I tried and its failing because not many of us are on twitter and not all of us follow each other so it doesn't get seen.

Forum Mods can move a poll into GD. PM Odanan, see it he would be down for the cause.

Thought it was posted by Russ. Wasn't aware they removed polling from the MWO site. What a mess PGI creates.

Very much is a me problem. Granted this is an issue many have brought up in the past. Instead of posting information on their own site the spread it out messily all over the place.
