There was a time when your House treasured its Space Bacon above all other things, now I see it offered on both Steiner and Davion forums, it's a sad day to be a Marik Posted Image

Yes, it's almost audible how hard I roll my eyes sometimes.

Ever since Roadbeer disappeared nobody knows from whence Space Bacon issues forth or how much will arrive next time in consignments, but many claim they have control over the real stuff and are willing to pretend to have it when really... it's just regular old dirtside bacon.

Times are hard. Let's hope Phase 3 has a return of the Space Bacon aplenty like we once knew.

I was hired by a man who wants to remain unnamed in Davion High command to break the truce between Liao and Marik which I succeeded.

I have been paid my bonus for accomplishing this so I no longer care to hold it.

1. Mercs rolled in waiving the Liao colors and convinced Liao units to attack Marik.
2. Planets were taken by pain induced drops of pugs and nothing.
3. Mercs were pulled out once PHL (which was also a bonus to get out of Marik) left Marik and Marik loyalist attacked, hence why they are in Davion.
4. All Mercs under my command on now out of Liao except one which I'm pulling now.

This is why I said Mission Accomplished.
All bonus objectives completed as well.

Thank You Davion, I'm back to Clanner space now. Your funds are appreciated. Will do business again.

He's just trying to stir the pot more.

I suspect he works for the clans more than anyone.

This is just become yet another example of why loyalists need faction membership controls in a manner similar to our upcoming Battlefront voting system for mercenaries. If it is actually true that we have mercenaries of using the contract system with no input allowed for loyalists who should be the ones in control of whether or not a company gains employment from a faction then we need controls to protect the interests of a faction lest we allow or rather continue to allow mercenaries to control the fates of all houses. adding these controls will give a sophistication and political aspect to the game that is desperately needed to create more interest in community warfare.

Of course I have yet to see any true prove that mercenary companies are actually being paid by factions above and beyond what they make on the battlefield in the form of see Bill infusions into their company coffers from individuals. this does seem completely plausible in spite of my courage incredulity.

SPECIAL REPORT: UPDATE

While the mercenary known as eSeifer has confessed to being in the employ of the Federated Suns, there is still no way to prove that House Davion was his employer.

Any investigation into who may have hired him has been complicated by tampering with communication that eSeifer and other mercenaries sent in the days leading up to the violation of the NAP.

Entire communication threads have gone missing. These include eSeifer's initial call to form a Liao Council and the rumours that imply House Liao will become the new "mercenary powerhouse" of the Inner Sphere.

Only less reliable sources remain. One example can be seen in this piece, which was previously dismissed as Davion propaganda by CCAF analysts. Events have called that interpretation into question.

It appears per this post >> http://mwomercs.com/...se/page__st__20 << That a rather large "merc unit" (really just Clan in disguise) is going to make a move to Liao to "help" them beat up on Davion...We all know this is a move to pull IS forces off the Clan borders as the IS has been doing a much better job of working together this time and they are not making as much headway as fast....but they will, and are, trying to spin it as "helping" Liao.
Unfortunately this is a sound strategy within the framework of the game as it is now and will probably work rather well...unless Steiner, Marik, FRR and Kurita work together to push the clans back while this "Merc" group is away from their true home in Wolf land.

While it is comforting for the Celestial Wisdom to condemn House Davions for attacking us from the inside, we should not be blind to the threat presented by the Clans. Furthermore, the tampering with communication records suggests a much more sinister possibility.

ComStar is the only organization with far reaching control over our communications.

If this attack was intended to throw the Inner Sphere into chaos and ComStar is responsible for the subsequent cover-up, then the implications are profound.

ComStar could be secretly supporting the Clan invasion through the manipulation of the Successor States.

The possibility that ComStar might be working against the entire Inner Sphere is much more disturbing than the suggestion that House Davion might use underhanded strategy to disrupt our peaceful relations with House Marik.

Just to throw my $0.02 in, how does starting a war between the only 3 factions with no clan boarders help the clans? this has to be the worst and least thought out conspiracy i have ever read... IS players (Marik, Davion, Liao) looking for for IS vs Clan will still drop on the clan boarder, regardless of what is happening else where on their own boarders.

In the quote from 100miles in the post above, he says "unless Steiner, Marik, FRR and Kurita work together to push the clans back ".
Why is Marik mentioned, it makes no sense, if Marik must work together with the rest, shouldn't Davion be just as important too, Liao is the only faction that can't detract troops from the clan boarders where ever they attack, so a Clan plan to "draw troops from the clan fronline" would only make sense if it was from any other Faction other than Liao.

the 2 most reasonable lines of thought are

:Marik, to form a NAP with Davion to crush Liao, while not looking like they broke the NAP with Liao (having 4 boarders and not looking to sticking to a NAP would be bad)

:Davion, to form a NAP through the thought of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend", Liao has a much smaller player base then Marik and would be far easier to fend off Liao attacks rather than Marik attacks.

Both of these make sense and both have taken place, which is more than can said about any clan involvement.

I would contend that his confession post would suggest that Davion had nothing to do with it but I'm just guessing as usual. Just seems convenient, too convenient. O7

I admit it

I'm a a Tetatae spy. I orchestrated this entire plot so that I could leave pyramids of beer cans on Liao capitol building lawns to act as landing beacons for the upcoming alien invasion.

The carpetbaggers nose is growing like pinocchio. Lol if you were here just to break the Marik/Liao alliance then why did you try to set up a grandcouncil with you at the head? Why did the mercs state that they were paid to attack Davion and Marik was just a second front after they were done? Sounds to me like someones grand ambitions to make themselves High Chancellor crashed and burned and now they are just making excuses to justify the failure.

And again, why would Davion pay to lose worlds? I did not count but I think we ended up losing more to Liao in the past few weeks than Marik did...

Makes little to no sense...

In order to make an omelet you have to break a few eggs...

A general in war can sacrifice a thousand troops if it means he will win the war. The loss of a battle is not the loss of a war. But why would someone who has never studied war know of such things? I suggest you read The Art of War. Then when you are done, pick up a copy of The Five Rings. To know one's self is to know how to win.

Antares Scorpions and other merc units have played their part, collected what PGI has to give, and are now on their way to some other part.

In the waiting game that is CW, everyone has time to play. But until EVERY faction has 10,000 LOYALIST pilots: the game is just about free stuff from PGI. But you can continue to debate the matter on the forums if you like.

For me, and I speak only for me: this as been a fun and interesting adventure in MWO, the MWO Forums, and players as a whole.

Troll away, it is fine. The water is clear, it takes what you have to give, yet: it erodes your foundation as you argue the merits of your limited knowledge.

Let's just say CW is a really incomplete implementation of what Faction Warfare should be. As Stone said right now CW is more or less free digital goodies from PGI and an extended, no-matchmaking version of Quick Play. I enjoy the fights we get on CW, but as far as simulating faction warfare, NBT-MWO is far better.

For me I'd say let the mercs and TCAF do what they want ;)

if the drops and the little border war was a fun time who cares about eseifer and what he was trying to do anyway. If we just have fun scrapping with one another and don't get too salty its all good.
It has provided a nice little distraction and some good forum and cw fun. o7
