A player since Mech2 and the days of Mplayer... arriving a little late to this game, but happy to join.
Just have a couple things.
1. Awesome Job with the game thus far devs... Really great to see this playing out the way it is.
Couple things a veteran player has to add at first glance, without any reading of any forum posts, and only coming back to the Mech Universe just a few days ago.
1. It would be nice if the grouping screen was not an overlay that blocked out things like the Mechlab. Even if it where a window where you could at least view your mechlab and not necissarily make changes...... That would be nice.
2. Is only a mechanic and some input from previous games. To me it seems that in this particular iteration of MechWarrior.... does not necissarily have damage mitigation as a primary factor.
In previous iterations of games, it seems i remember being a bit more survivable in mechs, and veteran players would watch their damage and then more face the enemy with the better side of their armour for the 2nd half of an engagement.
In short, that one part of the game to me feels a bit off... and it seems as though the time to death / time to kill is a bit short. Even for those of us that remember that we need to turn and face our damaged parts away from the primary direction of fire.
Not sure if this is a known issue.. as I said... I am a long time vet going back to the tabletop days and through all the previous mech titles... and only just now diving into this one.
Love the Mechlab, Quirks, and Chassis variants things. A lot of us Mech Nerds have always wanted to be able to tweak our mech more and more through the years..... and I am really happy with this games take on the "Mechlab".
Great Job Devs..... I have played this one for a few days, and you have my (yes) vote, along with a little bit of showering you with some $$ for what you put forth.
That might just be my first and last forum post / suggestion for a long time.. if ever. I am sure everyone else and the community are already dialed in and providing feedback. I just wanted to re-inforce it with my Veteran Player / Brand new to MWO initial feedback too see if it might help some discussions and points stick.
