(Someone please Tweet PGI about this, I don't Twitter.)
Specifically the Adder, Shadow Cat and Ebon Jaguar, possibly the Executioner too since it has too many varieties of weapons. Not only are these builds bad, I see new people failing with them in Quick Play and even worse in Community Warfare. Let's start with the most offensive and go down to the least.
Ebon Jaguar - Really, the C variant with no Energy mounts? A pair of UAC2s, a pair of SRMs and a pair of LRMs. No, just plain outright no, I will let someone else post the appropriate No Meme. Please open a topic where we can suggest better builds, thanks.
Adder - Dual ERPPCs may seem great given its CT quirk but really, with the Flamer now removable and customization options, it just deserves better than this.
Shadow Cat - Sure there should be a Mech for new people to try Gauss out with, I just do not think this is it. Also, no MASC tutorial means new players may not know how to use it.
Executioner - The only bad thing about this is the 5 different weapons, I have run Executioners that work well just off 2-3. See Shadow Cat about MASC.
We badly need Champion versions of these Mechs so everyone does not suffer from them. By everyone, I mean even us long time people who see someone running the Ebon Jaguar and just say a small prayer for that poor new person trying to figure out how to use his 3 ammo limited weapons to their best potential.
While we are at it, here is the full list of Clan Mechs needing Champion variants.
Mist Lynx
Kit Fox
Adder
Ice Ferret
Shadow Cat
Nova
Mad Dog
Ebon Jaguar
Hellbringer
Summoner
Gargoyle
Warhawk
Executioner
I will leave off the IIC Mechs until near their CB release when Mechs usually become available for Trial Mech use. I have not looked at the IS Trials though I bet Resistance 2 and possibly some Resistance 1 Mechs may need the same treatment.
