Joystick Control Suggestion

I recently got into using two joysticks to play MWO, and it is super fun. However, I have a problem with how they handle in game. Joysticks handle in the classic fashion only. Basically, the way they work now if you hold them slightly left, the aim will move slowly left until you hit the end of the mechs range. Hold it more left and it moves faster. This is normal and works great.
However, I would like to have the option of "spring-bound" joystick controls. Basically, if you move the joystick slightly left, then the aim will move a bit to the left and stop. If you move a bit more, the aim moves a bit more. If you let go of the stick, it moves back to center. It moves the aim relative to how far the joystick is moved, instead of constantly moving it.
This is a style that I learned from the first Steel Battalion game, and I loved that control system (and the massive twin stick controller). This is why I'm using two sticks for my controls, but I really would appreciate it if I had the option of that style of joystick controls.

Having tried just about everything let me make a suggestion.... Get a splitfish for movement and a good gaming mouse for aiming. You get the analog movement o of the splitfish and precise aiming of the mouse. Also the movements of the splitfish are smaller. Just order one and try it it works great. https://world.splitf...uck-pc-mac.html

Remove that auto-centre and it's exactly like how it was in Steel Battalion. Man I miss that game...

Ah sorry, I mentioned the part about centering because my joystick springs back to middle when I let go. If I ever get my way with the controls I'll probably remove the springs inside that center it.

If you mean the physical spring at the base of the joystick that keep the stick up, don't. I did that once because the spring was too stiff and when nothing hold the stick and you have no force to work against you have zero precision and no "memory" of where the stick is and need to go back.

Actually, I'm already doing that. I'm "borrowing" the separate stick shift console and pedals from my G27 race wheel to act as my throttle and center console.
Also, I found another thread about this exact thing. Turns out, "Zero Order" control is precisely what I was looking for, and nobody makes joysticks for that style. Go figure. However, I also found out how to convert normal sticks to work that way as well. Some very helpful people have recommended "FreePIE" in conjunction with "Vjoy" and "UJR" to turn any normal stick into a mouse, which would solve my problem IF my joystick wasn't a cheap PoS. I'll be getting a better one (T16000M), and either using the "PIE-V-UJR" combo, or the TARGET software (part of the T16000M's software). Until then... maybe if I fiddle with it long enough I can get this cheap logi stick to work worth half a damn.......
