Is there anything I can look for which may indicate that a certain planet will lead a quicker queue experience?
I can't tell if I am close to a game or not as the info screen is rather cryptic.
What is an average wait for a CW match that you other mechwarriors are seeing?

The matches do not start without a multiple of 12 players on at least one side, keep an eye out for planets with numbers close to that.
Also, folks will often call out in faction chat on what planets need folks and how many spots are available.

Right now Kurita has no attack lane on clans and defense que's are skewed towards defenders leaving us with two options:
defend other factions or attack our inner sphere neighbors
The defend que's are lopsided with defenders right now so look for que's that are closest to being even.... like 48-48 or with 36 - 48 with a match or two ending soon and que up on those planets. 24-50 with no matches ending soon are not the planets you want to que on.
Option 2 - attack your neighbors - we have been doing this even on planets with no defenders in que and getting matches 50-75% of the time... with the match coming in the final minute or two of a countdown, still being a pain in the *** wait.
Also dropping with a full group gets you to the front of the que before groups of less than 12.
Other than that... switch factions to a more active front.
