Hey all, I looked in the Merc section and all I saw was units recruiting and such. This is a more direct question.

I am a member of 3AC, we have several members already signed up for the Beta, but I'm not sure how many have keys. What I want to know is;

How does one get their Merc Corp recognized by the game?

If our clan (Merc Corp) supports one faction, do all of the members have to also support that faction or do they all have to show support for the Merc Corp or does it matter what individuals support?

Will there be advantages to running Merc operations over House operations?

Thanks

No one's been recognized, yet, but you should be able to list your unit at http://mwomercs.com/...merc-corp-page/

No, they do not all have to support the same faction. In fact, that would be a mistake. There are going to be Loyalty Points in the game, and all mercenary Loyalty points will be combined and/or averaged, or however PGI is going to work it in the end, so that the types of contracts and pay the unit has made available to it are better. In a way, it DOES matter what your individuals support, but like with Armageddon Unlimited, our individuals are not being told who to support, but rather encouraged to support whom they will.

You'll be fighting over border (not boarder) worlds, whereas factions will fight over faction worlds. When your merc corps takes a world, the longer you hold onto it the more of the economy you get to share from that world. There are advantages and disadvantages to being a Lone Wolf, being in a Faction, and being in a Merc Corps, the latter of which it has been said it will be the hardest to run, the most challenging.
