I'm still in the process of installing, but the thing won't get past preparing Install base. Why is it taking so long? I started the entire download/installation at 10 in the morning and it's now 8 pm

it is downloading about 10gb, then it installs it all while saying downloading install base, I do not know how fast your internet connection is but for me it took about 2 hours with a 36Megabit (4.5MegaBytes per second) connection to download and install the Steam version recently ^{so I could answer install questions from the new Steam players}

So this won't work on my mac? :s I'm not to tech savvy but love the game and had it for my xbox

To the best of my knowledge MWO is not available on Apple iOS. I believe there is a Linux emulator out there, but I have no clue as I'm running it on Windows. Steam may be different, but again, I have no clue.

Short answer, you can't run it on OSX. If you're willing to add a Windows install on your mac it should run fine on that.

sorry but I do not think it is available for Mac OSx and it is definitely not available for iOS (iphone, ipod, ipad)
