Let's face it, the Summoner is suffering. Inner Sphere 'Mechs of equal, even less, weight can often outgun the Summoner
I understand that balance is the goal, however the Summoner has fallen victim to the balance efforts and is just not a strong combatant. That said, I am asking that PGI unlock Endo-Steel on the Summoners. It's a small request that would not render the Summoner OP, but rather, give it a small boost which it desperately needs. It's not much to ask, being that Summoners have very few hardpoints as it is. If you have read up to this point and are now angry, please do your best to be intelligent and mature if you choose to respond. Anyways, thoughts?

No need. I for one am happy PGI is sticking with lore / BT rules, even if it does create some problems.
The Summoner would be a fine mech if it just had some omnipods with more hardpoints. Then you could equip more heat sinks than the Endo + FF counterparts, and it would have a niche.
Also, buff.... those... damn... jump jets.

They should at least unlock the JJ.

The hard points aren't that bad a limitation so long as you're willing to run some hard hitting ballistics. Frankly if PGI hadn't decided to give the Timbie a JJ variant the summoner would be better off and the timbie wouldn't be quite so damn versatile.
As for endo... well that's because PGI refuses to do jack diddly squat to give you a reason to want to choose between endo and std structures. I think a buff to internal structure for using STD structures would be sufficient. IS endo could also recieve a small structure buff, say half that of std structure because it's a lot more bulky.

22 tons of podspace isnt enough for a 70 tonner. If it needs to run a few hard hitting weapons rather than many smaller ones so be it, but give me enough tonnage to carry more than a half ton of ammo for each and give me enough tonnage to mount more than the abysmal stock armor, and make my 5 tons of jumpjets i cant get rid of actually work well and make the thing as maneuverable as a mech half its size (which was literally the point of a summoner, a fast hard hitting and durable heavy mech).
Literally everything the summoner is supposed to do it can't, not because those things are bad per-say, but the summoner represents the perfect storm of ******** rules paul inouye put into the game. Everything he's done, from ghost heat to ppc nerfs to replacing all jumpjets with inouye approved hoverjetstm to giving the timberwolf jumpjets, has combined to ruin the summoner entirely, and until he either fixes all the ******** he put into the game, or gets fired outright, my favourite mech in all of battletech will continue to be a piece of garbage, and I am not happy about that.

Thank you, everyone, for the good input. Just a thought, I don't think PGI actually plays this game enough to realize where the problems are. Thus, they don't realize how much the Summoner is suffering.

Bring all clans mechs down to Summoner level

PGI were nut balls to give the Timber a Jump Jet Omni pod option. It really did the Summoner no favours. I'd be all for giving the Summoner Endo or a Jump Jet boost.
