They already do have increased spreads and cooldowns... plus IS SRMs do more damage per hit and Clan LRMs fire off in a stream that's much easier to dodge in part than an IS salvo.

Unless you want to crapify them further? IS Quirks, too......



Umm, this is vague. You mean autocannons, ultra-autocannons or both? In any case, cUAC/cAC are already nerfed by shooting in bursts.

And again, clans don't get significant quirks. Are you willing to roll back IS quirks?

I vehemently disagree your suggestions will improve overall balance.

The Gauss one might be a good point but I don't think clan gauss is a hot commodity anyway. Short of dual gauss platforms it's pretty much non-existent on clanners.

Ok, even though I have only posted once before....I feel it is my moral obligation to add my completely unbiased opinion with no substantial basis of any kind:
Everyone complains of the "boating of weapons", so we just need to add the restriction on clan mechs that each mech must carry one of each weapon type. The mech must add one of each weapon type ( ie missle, ballistic, energy, etc) before adding a second and so on. This will help (obviously ghost heat isn't cutting it) from clan mechs being outlandishly OP. This will bring more variety of builds to the battlefield. Competition is for the weak. Funzies for all!

I think we need to really be open minded and continue the conversation that will, inevitably, lead us to the conclusion that clan mechs are way overpowered and need some minor change to bring the overall game play into balance.

Actually I know - to avoid exactly what's happening now assocuated with your founders. Unless you've been away since beta and the Clan release, you should know better.

But I spose it's just far easier to like your own alt account posts to give them some semblance of credibility or attempt at credibility.

Inner Sphere weapons all work though. Clan weapons are all streams and dot bursts except for the lasers which have much longer durations. Of course if you are standing still you gain no benefit from PGI's stream and burst nerfs. You're standing still right?

Call of Duty is so awesome, clan mechs should be mounted with strictly assault rifles, that should balance things out.
