Have the Dev. team released the size of the teams for matches?
is it going to be only lance vs lance or are we going to beable to get to batalion and regiment size?

Right now we only know there will be 12 vs 12 but it's not fixed so maybe there will be even more.

they trying to work at 12v12 lvl, may back up to 8v8

Like Sunny said, they did mention they were looking into joint-matches. Say a battle for a planet might include multiple battles at different locations which helped win the planet or not. That's all community warfare stuff though and isn't expected out for a couple months post launch (so they can make sure the basic gameplay is tight before adding to it).

Would LOVE to see 12 v 12 or even more! Maybe (if the program were profitable for them) they could go to a 2 tier system where smaller matches were always FTP as an enticement and then a one time fee to pay for entrance to LARGE mech battles? Just a suggestion!

In the developer chat yesterday they said that smaller maps; Forest or Winter City, for example, 8 vs. 8 is the match size they are looking at.

Otherwise it's tuned to feel right for the number of people playing against eachother.

They might change it up based on what the map could support, best of both worlds (big/small matches).

Yep they also told that they are still testing there hardware to make even bigger maps with more ppl.

12v12 is a good solid start. From what I have seen of the gameplay, the matches seem to have a slow pace, and I really don't know how it would alter matches if the amount of players were increased. Solely based on other games that I have played, between 12v12 and 16v16 are just enough players to make the games big, but not large enough to overwhelm the players. We would have to get into some actual gameplay to see how things really are. We shall see.
