To a dev changed it to medwarrior now if i cant use that name its not a huge deal but i would like to know whats so inappropriate about it? i would understand a bit more if i was calling someone that it would be highly inappropriate but i dont really see anything that wrong with when its just my name referring to me. now as i said not a huge deal if i cant use that name

A** is considered a swear word, hence inappropriate. per the code of conduct:
Names that have been deemed inappropriate are subject to change by Support services to a generic identifier (MechWarrior ####). Upon changing an inappropriate name Support services will contact the player in question and request three alternative pilot names to use instead.

remember, MWO is played my many walks of life, what may seem perfectly fine to you, may be offensive to someone else.

I can see how your original name could be regarded as offensive, although personally I agree it wasn't that bad. But, ultimately it's PGI's playground, so they set the rules. Maybe it's a Canadian thing, the mild-mannered and innocuous bunch that they are.

You could probably contact account support (accounts@mwomercs.com) and ask them to change it to DrAmpleProportioned, DrCircumferentiallyChallenged, or some such inoffensive variation.

Not to be offensive here, but if you had to ask with a name like that...

Sorry. Too obvious. Reminds me of the people who had to change their names on Guildwars 2 when it came out.

Find something less offensive. Try not to be edgy. Don't toe the line. It is often best not to try and press one's luck.

I look forward to seeing what you can come up with for a suitable replacement.

I agree. Just, be more considerate with the new name. Everyone deserves a second chance!

Discussing moderation is also a violation of CoC so....
Realy you need to be more carefull.
While " funny names" do not seem to be a serious thing discussing moderation can be.
You should have been contacted by email with the request to select an other name by the way.
There realy is a reason why you are invited over and over to read the forum rules and regulations over and over again while installing the game and using the ingame chat and so on and so on.

Dr. Gorgeous Freeman might also be suitable. Only watch if you have a sense of humor that isn't easily offended.

In some online games you'd also run into trouble for the Dr part. It's a title.

Similar, but drops the more offensive parts of it.

I still would rather be known by a different name personally, but I wouldn't find this offensive, unlike the previous name he used.

Cool! That works, too.

I'd point out that PGI are apparently fairly open on naming. I'm not REALLY a rabbi (though I AM Jewish, and ordained in A church).
