I have gone by other names in the past, but I have been using this one for the past while. I have always loved the squirrel off of Open Season. :D Yes, I know it is spelled wrong, but I did this so no one else would take my variation of the name. :)

Jiri Starrider was the name of my Star Wars Galaxies toon, random name generator. Would probably have been left in the dustbin as that game lost interest with the rather negative changes they made. (I stopped playing before the happy clappy, everyone's a winner Jedi BS) But. My wife also played and when she passed I kept the name in memory of the good times in game and it has become the primary name for toons now. Prior to that I had been using names from my old PnP DnD characters.

The company I fielded in tabletop most of the time, this was its commander. Although to be honest this is one of the few places that would probably actually get it if I used NGTM-1R as a screenname.

Meatpill - take from dialog from the Ren and Stempy show. From the episode "Space Madness," or a camping episode... "Give me that meatpill!"

A girl I had a crush on in high school. Also one of the first table top minatures I bought for Battletech.

Have had it a very very long time. Was happy to snag it here.

Centurion was my callsign for the VitrualWorld Battletech pods back in the day.

I kept it after VirtualWorld centers closed and the pods ended up at Dave & Buster's in Cincinnati. One of my favorite gaming eras of all time was meeting for weekly league play and hosting a world invitational back in 2000. That was the last time I had the kind of game experiences I'm hoping to get from MW:O.

I have not read any of this thread...

I did not use my usual handles. FreeXenon is my usual online handle. In FPS's I usually use tWTICh, but that did not seem appropriate in the MWO environment.

I used Taryys which was the name of a godling character I played one time in Rifts. I think I played Rifts a total of twice. Taryys sounds lis it could be a more like a futuristic name.

I hope that most people will realize that Col is short for Colonel, as for the rest of the name..... well, its probably obvious since I couldnt use a . (period) after the Col

Hopefully it comes off as toungue in cheek as intended and not vulgar.

Steadfast was the name of my first Shadowrun Character and - well - I liked that char quite a bit. Thats why I took the name for most of my online aliases.

I have a kinda confusing one... "ViperScho" is my handle, across most different gaming platforms. It originated as my CB Radio handle back in the 80s, a mash-up of my surname and my favorite sci-fi spacecraft.

My pilot's name, however, is and will forever be Josiah Carson, commander of Carson's Cavaliers - a company size mercenary outfit in my own personal version of the Inner Sphere. I am hoping I will get to make that distinction in-game...RPers like me are kinda weird that way.

- Viper

I've had this username for around 20 years now... and to that end people, who do know me, know me by this username. So while I acknowledge it isn't exactly good for role play in games, it's what most easily and readily identifies me as who I am... so that's why I always choose this name regardless. If I am playing a single-player game, I will choose other names. Sometimes of course I don't get a choice.. so I pick something that is as close to my real name as possible. In some games, where they don't like people with numbers after their names I will use another name.. but generally it is this one.
