There used to be a cartoon called Thundarr The Barbarian. Since Thundarr was taken as an Xbox Live name, I chose Thundar The Ork. And yes, if you say it fast enough, it sounds like ThunderDork.

Hajime was the name of a Crane clan iaijutsu duelist character from the Kakita family I made for the L5R pen and paper game, about 10 years ago or so, which morphed into Hajima, a Gallente character I used to play in Eve Online. Kuroko refers to the stagehands from Kabuki theatre, who traditionally wear all black when onstage, signifying they are not part of the action and invisible to the audience. ;)

It wouldn't surprise anyone, knowing this, that I'm going DCMS and hoping to play scout and infiltration roles (Raven?), ECM, BAP, etc, fingers crossed that when we get to 3050 we will see the Infiltrator and it's prototype stealth armor. ^_^ **

** Recent (>2 mos.) convert to Battletech, reading sourcebooks now, anything incorrect/anti-canon can be chalked up to that! :D

I miss ookla... the Mok! (insert odd growling noises).

Mine's is derived from the recent movie of the same name... although it could have been done better. It does not do justice to the comic and concept. I had to add a one because, well, doesn't everyone who has mad gaming skillz change i's to 1's? Ok.. Priest was taken.

Mines a character from the Kurt Vonnegut novel Slaughterhouse-Five.

I usually use Swordsman because it's a cool military nickname and I think it sounds good (I think I first saw it in Ace Combat 5), but because Swordsman was already taken so had to go for The Swordsman.

Basically, I am working on my thesis and it involves NP-Complete problems. I am studying computer science and NP-Complete involves "hard" problems. So, being nerdy, I thought NPComplete was appropriate.

From the Video game, Manga and Anime series: .hack
The video game revolves around a Fictional MMO called "The World"
You star as Haseo , a teenage boy who plays this game.
he named his character Terror of Death, since it was already taken, I used Fear of Death instead.
The story gets complicated as a .hack file infects the game (hence the name) and puts any one person who gets infected by the .hack virus called AIDA into a coma.
The game is super fun and realistic, when you enter "The World" its like entering a real MMO and when you enter the game world there are conversations between the AI that are supposed to be real people, there also are the AI "people" running around and doing things as if they were real people playing an online MMO

Theres no internet connection needed :P

^ I see a Haseo! My boyfriend occasionally goes by Terror of Death.

Normally I go by Chaotic Insane. That's who I am everywhere else on the internet.

Or by Gail Kerensky, since that's what most of the TT locals know me as.

I went with Gail Piazzi because I figured I'm a canon character, I may as well. XD

My name has been with me since the day I started online games, so the choice was clear.

And lasers make great sound effects for a rave, don't you think? :P

Ok so mine is retarded as hell but here it goes. I started with the tabletop back in the 80 s I started reading the novels while in the military and came across the grey death series so I named our merc the death hounds and and in the game made our affiliation with them. Then I got the jade falcon novels and was torn so mad another character and made him a bondsman to the legion. I've used it ever since. for me it's the moral compass

Stalgrim I am and Stalgrim I will stay! I thought of this name one day a few months back and I stuck with it. It's fun to say, try it! STALGRIM! It's a name that fits into any sword and sorcery game or any FPS or anything really. It just feels that good.

Atleast that's what I think... STALGRIM!

Well, normally my name is Rathgul, a name from pen and paper roleplaying games and the name of my favorite character. But that doesn't seem to fit for Mechwarrior.
I had a great time playing Age of Conan as a Tempest of Set (a DPS Healer) whose main skill tree was Thunder. My friends last name is Donner (which means Thunder in German) and I was familiar with the term "Blitzkrieg" fromWW2 so I thought "Donnerkrieg" (ThunderWar) would be good.
Then, I decided to be from the FRR (Free Rasalhague Republic) so I checked google translations and it came up with Aska Kriget for "Thunder War" in Swedish. Simple.
I also plan to use an AC heavy Mech...so...

Edited:spelling and AC mech clarification.

Some change their screen names often; I did it just once back in 2010. Well not even changed, actually, just created another. I had 2 internet egos since then, and nobody has a clue who was my other. I dropped the other via e-suicide. When? I'm not telling.

Also because I realized I'm an actual cat. Yes.
I might be insane.
