It's been my dream to run 2xAC2 on my Ravens since 2012, but it never worked. Until now. I can now play 2xAC2 on my Huginn (or RVN-4X) or CDA-3C and get through the match without running out of ammo. I'll even hit 300-500 dmg if I play my cards right. And although I don't own any Blackjacks, I'm thrilled to see that BJ-pilots are finally running 2xAC2 instead of 1xAC20. Now the Blackjack is being used the way it's supposed to, like a mobile light ballistics platform.
I wouldn't mind if the AC2 was even better, but I think this is the best place the AC2 has been in. (For a while, the AC2 was really good, but lacked ammo. So you couldn't run the AC2 on a light mech, but you saw a lot of Shadow Hawks and Atlases with 3xAC2. Which is fine, but I want to see 30-45 ton mechs carrying them)
What engine are you using with your twin dakka ravens?

So, unless you're only firing for 1 second at a time (at which point one needs to ask why you're bothering with 2's in the first place) you're better off just single firing.
Its only a 14% jam chance for any of the UAC2s, not sure where you got your numbers from. They really don't jam up all that often in a battle. Usually I'll get a couple to jam up by about the 5th or 6th volley then continue double tapping with the two that are left until the time in which the others have unjammed and usually by that point either someone is dead, out of my sight, or I'm back behind cover. Its not that bad really.

I'm not at my home computer right now, but it's definitely either XL225 or XL250. I forget which.

Man, the Panther 10P is probably the rarest of all mechs in MWO right now. It'd be nice to see them rocking the dual AC2s!

It is not good enough to combine AC2s effectively for all mechs, but when you're running 2xAC2 on a light or medium mech, heat is not an issue, ever. It is literally impossible to overheat with 10DHS and 2xAC2, except if you are standing in lava.

I would like to run the 10P and find something I like. You are right though, it is super rare.
Yea, when it comes to ballistics and lights, you can often get away with just SHS. That's a good thing too because equipping a ballistic takes up a lot of crit space and saving crit space with SHS can often mean you can squeeze in Ferro with the Endo. Every little bit helps.

Thanks. Thatd be my preferred choice too, but isnt it short on ammo (or armour)?
With these engines, full armour and full upgrades, a 35T light gets a 14T payload.

Finally got back home today, and to my surprise, I've actually been using an XL200 engine. 4 tons of ammo, 2 jump jets!

I think it's a few steps away from actually being OP, so I think it would be relatively safe to buff it a little bit more. But it's definitely arguably in a better place than ever. Especially as far as IS mechs are concerned. I see slightly fewer Clan mechs rocking CAC2s and CUAC2s.

Oh my! XL380!? Interesting. But I do have similar build for my Victors. They're not so terrible if you just strip them of all missiles.

Victor was my 3rd MWO mech after the hunchie and jenner, dropped 1500 games (almost in a row) in the 9B/S/K (never bought/don't like the DS) before the massive multiple thermo-nuclear nerf warheads eradicated them from the battlefield
oddly enough i never mounted SRMs on them even once - Victors have always been fast gun-trucks to me and nothing beats that build for keeping heads down. ditto this:
but with the new Hunchies out the assault queue has been the lowest, and the Victors are more fun haha

Of course it's won't set the world on fire, but what else can you do with a Vindi 1X *shrug*. Darn it was as fun as hell though.
I suppose there is also this...

But, who wants a more reasonable build when you can have dakka...dakka...DAKKA! Muhahaha
