Why anyone in their right mind wants to keep Alpine in the game, I have no idea

Well, the decision has been made. Instead of complaining, it might be a better use of time to suggest fixes.

because some people do really like variety and because its an unique map.

now bring back other old maps.

you mean get chased away be the #savealpine mob for daring to suggest that their "perfect" map isn't perfect.

Now hold on, I don't think I recall anyone ever being in the 'Alpine is Perfect' group. Every comment on the matter that I have seen has been along the lines of "Alpine needs some fixing, but is still viable", "It's fine, as-is, but if you want to change it, it won't hurt my feelings" and "I don't care if it's bad, it's variety and we need more variety".

...or at least something along those lines.

To be clear, I love Alpine. It's my favorite map. I stack the voting deck just so I can blow it to make sure I get Alpine. I also feel that it's fine as it is. I don't see any problems with it, that cannot be mitigated by doing something different in any given match. Heck, I feel the biggest tragedy of Alpine is that there is so much of it that goes unused/unseen.

This is my issue with the map. Since Mount Candy is here to stay. No one dares leave it and why should they? On 2 out of 3 game modes it's a fortress. You can't get sniped from the front and if anyone went to your rear you'd see them.

All i want is Mount candy reduced to hills like the ones around it and for spawns to be fixed.

My former unit always called it Moron Mountain.

I want Herp Derp Hill gone and out of the picture.

Need to make beautification pass + weather, day/night, some objects for cover, and let it stay.

I wonder how many of the people raging about Alpine being kept in favour playing SPL/SRM boats most of the time...

i want the original kept, because I do not trust PGI to replace Alpine with another map where you can actually see. I'm expecting a massive snowstorm or something similar on Polar Highlands, because EVERY map must be played in grey scale, according to PGI.

I like alpine only in conquest, but still happy to see it stay.

Kinda strange to me PGI thinks fixing alpine would be so hard. IMHO adding one more route to the pug hill on the flat aproach (e.g. a narrow passage that goes G9-H9 right next to that hilltop that could fit one mech at a time) would fix half of the problems. It would make attacking from the flat side easier and less predictable, and with more cover).

DO NOT TOUCH THAT MAP!

Just build more maps that resemble Alpine Peaks.
Make them more the way you like. Quit ruining the game by killing the only good maps in it. Like caustic valley.

Us players that have been here over 2 years Love the old maps and want you to just start building new ones not destroying the ones we love.
