Another skirmish mode?

Newsflash dude, they're all skirmish mode. The instant gratification, ADD generation sees to that. They can't handle anything else without a mental midget meltdown.

Giving such a non reversible critical choice to a single player who becomes the commander either by accident or by trolling will never end well.

The same could be said about VIP or CTF, yet it works in other games. You have to give people the opportunity to screw it up and then punish them for it, it's how children grow up so theoretically it should apply to MWO players growing up. Can't hurt to try.

Why you all STILL talking about Escort match pros v cons? My primary point is Assault / Conquest objective rewards are about 1/10th as much as a single player kill. THIS is the problem. Escort is just an option, not a solution at all if rewards are still unbalanced.

Because honestly, the title is about escort matches and debating the pros on cons of it is a lot more fun than discussing that rewards for not-kills are too low and always have been. Pretty much no one disagrees that the rewards for playing Conquest and Assault as anything other than "Deathball with something to do if the last guy hides" aren't high enough.

What you described would be no different from a normal skirmish mode.
