I think it would be interesting if there was a really small percentage chance of it happening, like 1% chance if you get cored.

When exploding mechs start to do damage, we can probably expect this to happen:

Are they playing with EVE-O ships?
i would love the chance to explode some mechs, but being a extremely extremely rare happening, since that explosions was kind of hard hitting even for heaviest assaults.
Also they are uncommon and a very rare happening in TT if i recall.

Some that would be cool is if an over heatedmech is cored then all its torso ammo detonates.

For it to be tolerable here, the chance would have to be low enough that it happens maybe once every 3-5 games. And at that chance, why have it? MWLL had it as I said, and it happened way way too frequently. The chance was low, but because of the multiple kills per match, it happened alot.
We only have 24 mechs in a fight here. For their to be at least one occasion per match (to make it meaningful). It would have to be a 4% chance. Which means only 4 out of a 100 mechs would do this across many games. You wouldn't see it every game. Increasing it to 10% means 2 mechs per game do it and it would actually be alot more. One match may not have it and another will have 5. The one that has 5 out of 24 mechs do it would be freaking ridiculous.
Two things that did far more damage to me in MWLL than the enemy ever could. Turrets, and Critical Explosions. I'd rather not see either in this game. If damage is going to be done to my mech, let by through opponents skill. Not random chance and not NPCs.

If it happened every time under a set of particular circumstances, fine. But you can't have a potentially game-changing event like that happen on a random basis.

MWLL had this and it was GREAT!
Every now and then, you'd see the first shards of light start spilling out of a downed Mech, and you'd have maybe 5 seconds to get the hell away from it before it stackpoled.
If you didn't get away, you'd take some damage - not usually a huge amount, but enough to make you want to avoid it. If you were already critically damaged, it could be enough to take you down, too.
No-one was deliberately blowing up their Mechs. It added a cool extra dimension to the situational awareness you needed in the game.

'Mech explosions made using short ranged weapons such as small lasers and machine guns dangerous in MW4 and it shaved off a lot of armor. In MW2 the weird DOT 'Mech explosions acted as a temporary fire which annoyingly yellowed your entire paperdoll if you were at full strength, and frequently blew off a limb if you weren't.
It's "awesome" but annoying. But if it was only a visual effect, I might be fine with it.

I'm much more in favor of high heat having a chance to cook off ammo. Hit 120% heat... significant chance for your ammo to cook.
I'd love if ammo only had 1 hp and much more regularly exploded... making ammo carry mechs more risky. Heck, just AC ammo even (or if we ever get inferno rounds).
