well I have 8 120 mm fans all pulling out, so I think i need to flip a pair of them at least. I still need to mod the top of the case because the radiator is way thicker than I thought it be. almost like 2 inches it (60 mm) thick rad.that 240 mm long ( little longer) I had to run the hoses out the back grommet holes and into the rat cause it so big lol. I also need to add a little distilled water to the system as the liter of fluid it came with was not quite enough I ran a lot of hose . it not pretty but I like it .

This sounds similar to an issue I was having. I kept getting shut downs. I had already replaced my video card, and was worried it was causing the shutdowns. Since it was shutting down abruptly with no logging, even with apps enabled, (MSI system) I suspected the power supply. Replaced it with a really great one. Shutdowns still occurred. Worried it was my video card, so I stuck in my older one. Shut down still occurred.
Noticed that not all of my hard drives were reporting in. So I swapped out the one that wasn't reporting. If a hard drive is suddenly unplugged from a system, a shut down will occur as a safety feature. (I remember when that wasn't a feature. Or needed.)
Shut down occurred.
When I finally got it started up, the drive I had just replaced was not reporting.
My worst fear.
motherboard.

Now, I had redone my system. The motherboard isn't out of warranty, but MSI no longer carries it in stock. I went ahead and replaced it with a better one.

Ran great.

Then a shutdown occurred.

This time I noticed a huge spike of heat in the area around my PC. Pulled the CPU cooler, re-applied the Arctic Silver, and buttoned it back up. Runs great. When I put it back together with the new mainboard, I didn't use quite enough thermal compound. I haven't had a problem since.

Point is, if your video card got too hot, it may have warped away from the cooler, which would cause thermal shutdowns. Enough heat, and your temp sensors will go wonky. When that occurs, the safety system may decide to shut your pc down or make other attempts to control runaway heat. If it think the CPU is running at 430*F, this may be what is occurring. You may end up replacing the video card, only to find you're still plagued with problems.

This is why it is suggested to try and run the system with a different video card. If you are still having issues with a different card, the GPU might be fine. After the heat sink is re-seated. (There are tutorials on how to do this. GPUs can be a B****) It would be likely that your motherboard would be toast, though. Making do with an older GPU might be the only option if the motherboard is failing.

If you are running a mATX board inside a mATX case, and only water-cooling the CPU, the heat build-up for everything else will be awful. You might also be creating a problem by leaving the case side off. PC fans are designed to move air through in a thoughtful manner. Leaving the side off might be wrecking your cooling performance entirely.

Finally, if you are blowing it out with a vacuum, you may have caused a static short. If using canned air, and you haven't let it cool properly, you might have caused a short in the system due to warpage. (Canned air is COLD!)

Now, if you do end up needing to replace the motherboard, a modern one should run your Phenom II, and will cost about the same as a good GPU. Microsoft will be very helpful in getting you running again. I did my motherboard swap on New Year's Eve, and they got me registered fully and completely operational within ten minutes.

As suggested, try a different video card first. It might take some time to track this issue down. I ended up with a new power supply that I didn't need, (Which is okay, as I wanted to build a computer for my music recording) and the failing motherboard actually destroyed two hard drives. (Those drives that stopped reporting? Motherboard decided to send them some extra voltage.)

Always ground yourself, and I wish you luck in solving this issue.

holy crap I seeing a lot cooler temps in just a single game. cpu never got over 42 C and the GpU maxed out at 57 and no issues while playing.. I bet once the extra fluid is put in the computer and all the bubbles are out I bet this sucker going to run great.( and if i drop a newer GPU in later and add it to the loop I can see even cooler temps. (I would upgrade the fans so they push /pull air though the radiator. )

I know it is nit picking, but let us know your max CPU temps after you finish filling your loop and switch a couple fans. Because 42C on a custom water loop even with an AMD seems kind of high for normal use. I have an 8350 OCed, notoriously hot, and I never go over 36C in any game with an AIO water cooler. My max temps with Prime95 was only 56C.

Like I said, nit picking, but if you are spending time on a custom loop you'd think you would get better performance.

Golrar I shall. I actually waiting on the springs that were not in the package for the cpu cooler to arrive for me. ( right now I just got the nuts very tight ) Plus I don't have the speed up real high ( think it only about 2/5 of max, even now this think moves some water lol Plus I still need to mod the case so the radiator is not covered as much by the case top at a slight angle. ( will post before and after pics ( but don't expect it to be pretty lol )

ok so 2 games I getting GPU ( on air) 31 c min and 58 max the CPU has been reporting 6min and 39 the max. ( way better than the old water cooler. )

so been running the system with no real issues outside the the used video card issues ( which is either there a long rectangle on screens ( web pages ) that flicker or the video goes out and will only come back on if I reboot) I seen temps wise ( gpu on stock air and stock auto controls about 74 C the cpu with the pump only running about 2/5 of speed. with fans on low for rad I gotten as high as 42C. now i am overclocked my cpu to about 4ghz. I just played 3 games in a row with about the same temps.

Not bad. With the slower fan speed those are respectable temps.

sweetness I just ordered my video card ( cheaper than I planned ) but a 4g 380x by power color will be a big step up from this r7 260x that I keep having issues with . I read somewhere that the issue may be actually a driver issues. so I may go and look for an older version of the drivers and see.
but I think I should be able ot pull some more steady fps than i been seeing on med/high details lol.

oh man some how I bumped my fan control switches to the point my pc was only running the rad fans and no intact outside the single fan in the back. I was playing games today ( single player stuff) (ashes of Singularity) Igot my gpu up to 64 C and the cpu was about 40C. switch the fans all to 100% and watch the temps start dropping and with in about 2 minutes I cooled back down to normal temps ( about 20C cpu and gpu about 33 C. To make it more interesting is the room about 90F (room not got AC on yet )
