So i have two accs, one is for my tests builds, and this is for my carrer in game, but i still can't decide what mech to master fromn my experience.

1: Arctic Cheetos: very strong and durable, i do very well with 5 cerspl and a bunch of heatsinks, my best game was 5k 984 damage, by far the most consistent mech that i have in that account, and also very fun to play with, it fells very "responsive". But even so i don't like the mech at all.

2:StormCrow: The picking style is very powerfull, the armor on this one is very good since it spreads damage well, even so sometimes i fell a little weak since it appears i'm focused a lot, if i make a mistake i'm blowed out, so it's always very defensive mech and it appears that i never go on front line, i like the mech looks and playstyle, my best match i get 874 damage and 5 kills, but i'm very inconsistent with hin, with cheetos i aways do at least 250~300 damage and make 1 or 2 kills, with Crow sometimes i'm crushed in the first minutes of the match, i think that this is because he is very big.

3:Gargoyle: I love this mech, but he is very fragile and weak, very bad mech because of the large ct and big sized for his firepower, i do meh with hin, a little more consistent than crow, but my best match was 3k and 386 damage, sometimes i also get blowed out without doing even 100 damage, very sad since he is one of my favorite mechs, but i just can't get it to work, tested lot's of builds but none worked so well as the other mechs, at least for my playstile.

Mechs that i didn't try and i think that may be good: Shadow cat, ice ferret, nova, vindicator, cicada, firestarter, mist lynx, what you guys think of those mechs?

Shadow Cat is fun. NOT particularly durable or powerful, and without the MASC it's no quicker than a SCR. That said, still FUN! You won't break any damage records in it. But if you keep the ECM and play it smart, you can do more than your part, and consistently. She's a sneaky mech, and the heaviest that I'd still consider a worthy scout/recon mech. Also good for sniping and harassment, and fits well with SpleenSlitta's non-meta light mech tactics guide (in the Guides & Strategies forum, DEFINITELY worth a read).

Cicada is stupid fast for a medium, and most consider it a bigger, heavier light mech. No more durable (it's a BIG Jenner, basically) Speed helps. Only one ECM variant, and only one jump-jet variant, and they're not the same variant. It's like a less versatile Shadow Cat, more or less. At least you don't feel bad about stripping the arms down to save weight, though.

Ice Ferret? Mist Lynx? Just no.

I really don't know the Vindicator for anything, so I'll skip it.

NOVA can be fun. It's slower for its bracket, and it suffers from no Ferro/Endo. But it's got jump jets and a stupid number of E hard points available, and so there are some vicious close-range energy builds for it. Also makes an acceptable pop tart, if you like that. Supposedly going to get re-sized some day, so maybe the hit box problems will go away. Until then, VERY squishy. But if you can get one in close with 11 or 12 ERSLs, you will WRECK just about anything.

Firestarter? Arguable the IS's best light mech, and comparable to the ACH for overall MWO light mechs (that is, one of the best in the whole doggone game). If you're considering it, and you don't HATE the Arctic Cheetah, then go ahead and dive right in. TOTALLY worth it.

Some other mechs to consider?

Raven. The -3L has ECM, and that and the -4X show up pretty frequently in CW drop decks as LL snipers. The latter has even BETTER quirks for LLs. Also, both have missile hard points, and can be reconfigured for light brawling. And the RA E hard points are HIGH, so hill humping is pretty easy with them. The RVN-3L(C) evolved in 12v12 competitive play a couple years ago, before it even WAS the Champion mech, as a light mech competitive in the long-range meta against assault and heavy poptarts, bringing ECM with it. And the RVN-H hero mech is a RIDICULOUSLY good light brawler, with its stupid-good missile quirks (even a little better for SRM-4s, though not what it once was). 2/4 RVNs have JJs, and the -3L does ECM (but no JJs). I think they got some minor survivability quirks, too, so that's cool.

Kit Fox. Or, "Cute Fox", as we like to call them. Not a particularly deadly mech, but can surprise you. Does poptarting pretty well. Has an ECM omnipod available, and can carry TRIPLE AMS for escorting the assaults across open spaces when it can't be avoided. Not FAST for a light, but has the capability to mount respectable long-range weapons AND back it up up-close in the late game. Worth considering.

Blackjack. Mobility? Over 81 km/h with stock engines, and the -1X can do up to a 295XL engine for LUDICROUS speed, while toting EIGHT lasers of various descriptions. With the torso structures DOUBLED, it adds survivability to its speed. And 3/5 variants have JJs. For ballistic builds, the -1/-1(C) have 12.5% generic ballistic cooldown to buff that DPS, and the -1DC is one of the few viable Gauss mechs now with its 25.0% generic ballistic cooldown (able to carry Gauss, ammo, and 4x ML, with an XL 225 pushing it to 81.0 km/h, and would be SO OP if it only had JJs). And the Arrow hero variant is just such trolling FUN, with its SIX MGs and three torso-mounted E weapons and JJs and regular BJ speed.

Enjoy.

I realy liked Fox, i tried 3 ams with 3 ton ammo, ecm, 4 machinegun with 3 ton ammo, and 3 medium laser, i did very well could scout and defend like a boss, doing 2 kills and 447 damage, it's just awesome how much help the emch can provide, as for heacy and assaults that have good speed/hitboxes do you know some that, even not being good as the light/medium mechs, can hold suficiently a game without depending on their team? I just finded Gargoyle cuz i didn't want to go all IS modifications, (lazy guy here Posted Image) also thank you for the post, ill be checking the strategies of SpleenSlitta.

No mech can "carry" a team, even in solo queue - it all depends on the pilots. That being said, there is a reason the heavy queue is usually the most full - Timber Wolves are frequently stated to be the best mech chassis in the game.

I've mastered gargoyles (first mech I mastered), elited mist lynxes and ice ferrets, and mastered novas. from that and your list the only mech I would rule out is the vindicator. only mech ive ever sold was a vindicator 1x. mist lynx and ice ferret are hard mode compared to the arctic cheater.
the cicada is bit like an ice ferret - a medium trying to be a light

since you seem to prefer clans. I'll suggest you give the Hellbringer a run. Every type of hard point available (light on missiles), plus ECM meaning you're often not the first guy to get targeted due to having no Dorito.
