I have been playing a couple weeks. Took the time to research the game. Took the skills i learned in other tactical shooters such as red orchestra and verdun and used walls/cover very carefully.

i think the closest i got was a game on crimson straight in a banch 3e with 3 ac5 and medium pulse lasers (i since changed up the build somewhat so idk exactly what i was running). i chewed threw 7 mechs by the time my ammo ran out. the clock was ticking down and it came down to me and a spider. we were both cored red. it came down to a last second joust when the spider and i crossed beams. both his and mine all hit squarely but he had more hitpoints left than i did.

Just got mine this evening in a locust of all mechs. Now that I got the new rig up and playing above 20fps It's incrediably easier to hit things and actually registering damage then the laptop I've been using for the past few years

Unfortuniately I haven't got my shadowplay configured to record said match but after many matches coming so close getting up to 7 kills so many times and missing that ever elusive 8th I finally score the 8th

Congrats Holographic! 8 kills needs quite some skill and some luck, even then it's a rare gem of a game.

Don't get worked up about Death Star; I honestly do not think anyone in all of mechwarrior legitimately has it (at least not without a coordinated team-effort dedicated to one player).

Cool mech to get it in too! Glad to know the Atlas can still kick butt.

First ace of spades was in a Purifier on release day. It apparently had not yet clicked that it could actually hurt people now...

I got mine in my gargoyle. back then I was still using a modified stock GAR-Prime just switched to smaller srms and used the lbx's with cd module popped in some extra ammo for the lbx with the free weight.

Though I've hit that number of kills with other configurations of my GAR and my Nova it was one of my LBX builds I first achieved it on.

I got my actual AoS (9 kills) in an LBX-20 SCR. I had done it one time previously...the day before achievements came into the game (FS9).

Best I have done is in my LoLcust as well, 7 kills.

Next day had my personal best LoLcust run with over 1300 damage, 4 solo kills, 3 kmdd.

By far not the best Light pilot, but with the small Light Queue and super fast drops, hope to get better and break more personal bests and achieve DS eventually.
