Considering the recent increase in cooldown time for the Gauss Rifle, do you all think it is time to drop the locked jump jets on the TBR-S torsos? I believe that the TBR was considered too OP with dual torso Gauss, which prompted them to make that change. I mean, you can still do dual Gauss with the C Right Arm and PRIME Right Torso. I don't see too many of those running around.

I rarely use JJ on heavy mechs, especially ones that can move that fast. I'd like to start running some dual UAC10 TBR builds without having 2-4 tons go to JJ, putting ammo on the arms, or have all the ballistics on the right side.

They recently removed the locked CT flamer from the Adder, I think it is time for this change.

I doubt PGI plays around with the locked jumpjets on clans for a single Mech. Especially just so one of the most powerful mechs can be more powerful.

I would support unlocking Timberwolf parts if Timbies are in a state where the Timberwolf is inferior to the Orion, and the unlocks are needed to bring the Timberwolf up-to-par with the Orion.

So, who thinks the Orion is currently good-as or sligbtly-better-than a Timberwolf?

I think there are a few other 'mechs that could use some love, IS and Clan, before we start buffing Timbers.

Actually, the real reason for the JJ hardlock on Omnipod-jets (as opposed to actually hardwired jets such as the Summoner's) was solely because of the 2 ERPPC + Gauss Timbertart build.

I don't really recall seeing much 2x torso gauss TBRs, tbh, before the lock. Part of it was to address balance between Jumpers and Non, since the Kitfox and TBR could both drop JJs, while Summoner and Nova could not.

I actually do better in my Orions now than my TBRs. So I'll make that statement.

Well, I tried to take the Orion-V out for a spin and get a decent match to see how well it does. Guess that's not happening tonight. 6 losses a lot like this.

And, the last game everyone had to kill the game and restart to join. Of course, all but one of the enemy team reconnected, while only 1/2 of my team did. So, that's it for me tonight.

At any rate, here is the best match from the night. I'd say Orion on par with TBR with quirks. I beat both of the TBR player scores, combined.

Maybe I'll try again this weekend. Hopefully I'll get better matches and stable servers. Posted Image

Not me. I still see my enemies perform better against me in Timbies than Orions. I personally think even the Black Knight or Grasshopper is better than the Orions.
