Admit it, we all try to flunk votes to juice our multiplier up as high as possible. I myself have managed to get up to x11, but that coveted x12 seems to elude me. Anybody managed to fail their way to x12?

And while we're at it, there should be an achievement for reaching x12 with an accompanying title of "The Gambler". Democracy sucks, give us something for sucking so bad at it....

I really wish PGI had looked at how achievements work in other games. I feel like what we have now is wasted potential.

This game has, what, thirty different player titles? None of them actually carry any weight. They usually show what kind of robots you paid for, or much you like to play CW. And you get a custom title when you've farmed one gazillion components, or whatever.

Maybe one or two players have earned the Deathstar title. Most, if not all, of the people who have it got it by enemy teams disconnecting.

On topic, no, I believe x7 has usually been enough for me to tip the scale and get things my way on the choice screen.

Getting the map vote multiplier to x12 wasn´t all that hard, the game mode quite a bit so (lots of cases, where those other "farmers" changed in the last second, making me get what I was voting for )

Note: I did it just once, because I was wondering if I could do it. Nowadays, I just vote for what I want and be done with it.

yeah, i won the voting minigame, too. Quite nice if you can troll around with it.

You just have to choose the meta map, so everyone votes for mordor just to get their multi up. and in the last second, cancel your joke and laugh about the chat rage because everyone got 1) mordor and 2) lost the multiplier!

I almost got x13 but someone changed their vote last second and I had to start over

Map selection for me is pretty much a game of "Terra Therma Chicken."

Of all the maps in the rotation, I get Terra Therma coming up most, and Alpine Peaks coming up least.

I select Terra Therma to watch everyone else dance their votes around to other maps, get my multiplier up, so that I can have a higher chance of getting on Alpine Peaks when it comes up.

I hate Viridian-Punched-in-the-Phallus-By-A-Midget-Bog, don't mind Terra Therma (I just mind the people who prefer to play 'Dancing Fairy Princess' at the top of the ramps and ends of the bridge), and I love Alpine Peaks.

Generally, my highest multiplier has been 11... Either I get Terra Therma, or I use it to avoid Bog, OR, VERY EXTREMELY OCCASSIONALLY, I get to use it to get Alpine Peaks.

I've been up to x12 once or twice

all you really need to do is vote against popular maps when they come up (i.e. when you know the majority will vote frozen city, HPG, etc.) and abstain when those maps aren't available.

I had 11x too before MWO servers went down and it got resetted.

Aslo, it would be cool to have achievements based on new rewards, like solo kill/most damage dealt.

I'm not sure if anyone has managed to get 12 kills legit without servers glitching in a quick match

They should make death star an achievement for 12 kills in cw that's still challenging but at least doable

I actually get and hold x12 for a while. I love playing Terra Therma because I'm in T4 and T4 is full of dumpster players that have no concept of heat management. You'd be surprised how fast people stack on literally anything else when a huge percentage instantly goes on terra Therma.

i always considered achievements to be useless fluff and was rather alarmed with every game started adopting them. game studios are a bunch of sheep.

I have to be the worst tier two player there is

Earlier today I was on terra Therma and for the first time I forgot to turn off override
And at the end I got penalized for suiciding

I thought I went out in a blaze of glory in a fire fight but instead I die because of foolishly orchestrated in game mechanic I get punished

The whole thing seems so bazar PGI wants people to blow up and die but that’s still not enough
They want to twist the knife blade also by hitting you with a penalty when you do blow up


Of course you can tell I have never blown up over heated before except on the training ground

i got x12 once trying to get therma. when i did get therma it was assault, i was in a ppc mech and i died 2 minutes in (from friendly fire, for picking therma) my team lost to a base capping locust.

i got x12 a few times by simply voting terra whenever it popped up.
