It seems most have never played a Mechwarrior game with a rear view cam. It will not help anyone in the heat of battle.
Rear view cams are only good for checking up on teammates and looking at your camo in 3pv.

I edited my post.
"I want rear-view so I don't get stuck on the poorly designed maps and idiotic teammates and already agreed that I would be fine with a basic view without any targeting info and pointed downward."
None of those systems assist with the issue I am most concerned about.
Mini-map will show you where every team mate is located. If there is a blue arrow behind your arrow you know your teammate is blocking your retreat.
Also, Teammates should not follow behind mechs rounding a corner. They should echelon out with the fastest mech taking the furthest route so that you all come around the corner together with clear lines of fire.
How is this not a "L2P" issue?
As for bad maps. Learn the maps. You can go into any map in the test mode and see where you can climb and can't climb, what corners you can move around clearly and which ones you will get hung up on when you back up. If this is such a huge concern why haven't you taken this proactive "L2P" step to resolve it instead of insisting a company fix the issue for you by adding in a system they stated 3 years ago they don't want to add because of gameplay reasons.
It's -still- L2P.

Stop acting like I am having troubles with enemy light mechs.
Sorry, this assumption comes from earlier posts where you have called certain lights "Artic-Cheaters" and P2W. Sounds like someone doesn't like Light mechs. Someone is an Assault advocate.... Assumption made based off of evidence given.

L2P yourself out of Viridian Bog.
Also, My arrow and my teammates overlap when they're right behind me.
Then your teammate is not where they should be(they need to L2P) and you need to up the resolution on your screen because I have never seen this phenomena you are describing.

im opinion, for what its worth, i dont think they should implement anything that makes the game easier. Hell they should make it harder if anything. I actually hate First Person Shooters for the most part except this most of them are to simple, easy and boring.
So if getting caught on rocks or backing into teamates maybe you should practice team play.
Actually how many people who want the camera do teamplay? or are you guys solo? not trying to say that units are better, but anyone who joins one seems to improve.

Oh yeah, where?
I said Jenner IICs were very strong, which they are.
Did you also miss the part where I said I had the Spider mastery pack and got my Ace of Spades with a 5K(C)?
Crappy maps is a general problem for all mechs and Assaults' abysmal climb rate just exasperates the problem.
You have a problem.

I think you are projecting your issues onto me. Using reason and logic one would assume the one complaining about a system that has worked for 3+ years has the problem, especially after the other has pointed out multiple ways to resolve the other's complaints that are all player skill things and not game engine issues.

The argument was brought up in closed beta. At that point the devs said, "No, it's a gameplay choice, deal with it." Yelling louder won't get them to change their mind when it has been working as intended all this time.
This is your most likely reaction from the devs:
