9/10 of the games i see so many players that don't have a clue how to play,

i've just come out of a game where most of the team were just all grouped together standind still on the left side of the map,
i warned them we were getting flanked and they just stood there,
in preavious games i see ppl with mouse sesitivity set too high and their crosshare is all over the place,
one guy/girl had all his/her 12 weapons bound to one key,

there are so many ppl that don't know the basics of shooters or even simple tactics,
it's just so frustrating.

I would like to get a couple of wins on the trot.

About the only thing one can do in that situation is 'grin and bear it'....and then get on comms and patiently try to help said confused player(s).

I add them as a friend and then get them into my Raid Call channel or on my TeamSpeak or Mumble Server, where I hope I can help them become better players.

Give that a shot as well?

Tiers are not a good measure of skills, and they can be transversed just by consistent gameplay.

Keep playing and improving your skills and eventually you may reach higher tiers.

Skill goes up with high tier but teamwork or strategy doesn't. Group que is almost as much a **** show as solo.

Harsh reality time. Some players are bad. New, no hand/eye coordination, no situational awareness, whatever. Some will never be any good. Usually I don't encourage this as I like to see a team playing as a team, but as a last ditch effort...

If you are playing solo and your teammates are unable to act, react, or even aim, then you should just use them as armor. If they can't do anything useful they are fodder. If you know the direction the enemy is coming from, you warn your teammates, and they can't manage to turn face the threat, you can't fix that. You can try to educate others and encourage better play, but you can't literally force others to play better, you can only adapt to the teammates you have.

What you can do is position yourself (and any teammates that seem capable of fighting) so your expendable teammates are fired upon first, allowing you time to return fire and attempt to carry the team. If they start shooting at you because you are the only one returning effective fire, take cover and wait for the enemies to fixate on teammates before reengaging. If you are good enough you can still get a match score high enough to raise your PSR. If your extra armor survives long enough you might even carry them to a win.

Many players have adopted a similar out for themselves playstyle as their norm, even at tiers 1 and 2, and I abhor it. That's why I play CW almost exclusively (solo and grouped) where thankfully that playstyle isn't prevalent even among solo players (at least the FRR solo players). Skill levels vary greatly but at least most try to work as a team.

I kind of wandered a bit there... meh.

Alot of the time in solo que there is no option but to play like this, people always like splitting off solo to go round that corner that nobody should go round... and then the lemming train happens

Start with squats, then do some sit ups, then some pull ups the you'll carry like Wilford Brimley.

-Have you called Liberty yet and signed up for the carry harder medical pack? We also offer lube insurance with sandpaper protection coverage.

I agree and that's why avoid it. CW even playing solo has some semblance of teamwork and achieving a goal, playing with a unit in CW (especially against other units) is like an entirely different game.

Don't blame the player blame yourself. Tier 4 is easy to get out of if you carry and credit to your team.

Do dmg and get what you can in before your team gets stomped. I've been back in game for a week and I literally blinked and was through tier 4

I can guarantee you there are people on the other team with similar learning issues. You have access to VoiP... use it. Play your game and I promise tier 3 is within reach. I'm on the cusp of tier 3 and I saw tier increases even during losses.

I hover at the tier 4 tier 3 line

My preferred mode of playing is trying out new chassis with weird combos while levelling. I find that once I master the mech, I move on to next chassis. This means I am hardly in tricked out mechs except for CW.
And because of that I drop tiers running non optimised mechs.

But the moment I drop, the trusty storm row with 5 SSRM6 comes out, and usually brings me back up to tier 3. Meta does have its uses

I guess it's a good thing that your tier is directly related to your personal play, then. Since the tier system entered the game I've taken four separate accounts past tier 4 playing with the same people you are. If you're stuck there it's where you belong.

I think I might be happy to get stuck in tier 4. It feels like the little bar always going up is just punishment for doing well. Seal clubbing is a time honored staple of online games.

You can get out of tier 4 but doesn't mean you'll get any better a team. Quite a few recent games I've been in teams just get hammered so quickly, even games you push along with your team and suddenly they all turn away to chase a damaged light for a kill.

Sometime when you watch some of the others in your team you wonder is you're getting pranked by being matched with them :)
