Wow, what absolutely crappy news to wake up to. One of the few true geniuses in music in our lifetime. Usually barely note the passing of celebrities, but it is amazing how much one can be impacted when said person's music has been a huge part of your life for so long. Heck I dressed up as the Goblin King for halloween back in the day. Posted Image

Generous bugger that he was, made it a point to give us a beautiful album as a parting gift, too.

best way to mourn is to celebrate their life.

Guys, very sad day for me.

That man, very cool, cultured, fine, elegant, accompanied me in various stages of my life.... like many of my generation, I think.

My first love story

The "problematic travel" called life

etc.etc.etc.

Let's celebrate dancing.

Man, this is a tough one. Gonna be missed. Major Tom, to a disproportionate extent defined my childhood. Keep on playing Ziggy, keep on playing.

No disrespect, but are we gonna have one of these every time a musician dies now?

Yes. It's just a thread, you'll get over it.

I was referring to the requests to rename stuff after dead musicians, not the fact that people are talking about them.
