shadowplay and Raptr gaming evolved use a chip built into the vid cards to record so it should use less resources than 3rd party recorders.

As many have already stated, ShadowPlay... All my vids are initially created with it.
THEN it's a matter of post processing software.
I use AVS, which isn't the best by any means, but it works for me.
Here's my YouTube channel if you want to view the quality:

Yea, I can get things rolling but might need to see if there is an update or check nvidia and maybe the Alienware forums. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this prob. It's acting like my cards aren't compatible for some reason lol.
What OS? I have one and the software will not run under my Vista...
(hey Vista works so don't judge)

I am trying this MSI and got it setup but it seems to want to make one single huge video file. I like starting and stopping per match to create a file. Helps me keep track... I record EVERY GAME and discard junk runs so I use it a lot. Haven't seen a frame rate display for the MSI but seems to be working for the most part.
You can set the quality to 85% without seeing any real visual difference, and then you can set it to capture half frames. It's still large but reduces the file size a lot. Generally I only record certain games where something is glitched out so I can send it to PGI, which is why Shadowplays "last 15 minutes" wasn't very good for me as I only really need 30 seconds or so.

You can set up how long you want the video capture to be.
I personally use 7 minutes.
